Elections Nov. 4 Election Results

"They're just blue states" is pure cope. Dems outperformed the polls. Independents swung towards dems after supporting Trump last year.

The midterms are looking really bad for republicans unless the economy miraculously improves in the next year.

Trump has made the same mistake Biden made pretending inflation does not exist. Prices of everything is too damn high. Trump is treating inflation like it’s The Epstein files. Mid terms are going to be a bloodbath even with all the gerrymandering bullshit.
MTG was surprisingly smart. She got off a sinking ship.

I just think its a lot more than inflation.

Republicans got a gift from God when Brandon refused to drop out of the race and the Dems got stuck with Kamala a few months out from the election.

Then once Trump wins, everybody is reminded of why they got voted out last time. And he's just been much worse in general this time around.

I don't think it's any one thing that's driving these elections. We've got high prices on everything (thank you tarrifs and inflation), we've got Trump protecting :eek::eek::eek:philes, we've got an idiotic shutdown were Republicans are trying to jack up healthcare premiums for millions of people...all the while, Mango Mush Brain is demolishing half the Whitehouse for a fucking ballroom lmao.

Republicans can't run on immigrants and trans shit forever. People finally see what reality is like with mass deportation. And I really don't think they're going to care much about Trans people in the future.

The hyper partisan posters on this board forget there is an actual decent chunk of Republicans who enjoy free speech and wanted to the Epstein shit released. They'll eventually talk themselves into voting Republican again, eventually, but right now, they just watched Trump cry about Jimmy fucking Kimmel and have watched them do everything they can to hide the Epstein files.

As shitty as Trump is, it seems like the Republicans are doing their best to try and cram in as much bad shit as they possibly can during his term and it seems like it's backfiring (predictably). If they'd have just focused on deportations, or healthcare, or snap, or eroding the courts...they'd have probably been fine. Instead, they are trying to do it all at once and it is just really off putting for average Joe who isn't calling everyone to the left of Ronald Reagan a "libtard woke"...Normal people just see that shit and cringe.

Republicans have become the meme party for old people on social media and the meme party for 4chan incel virgins. It's also hard to ignore the out in the open racism. It was one thing when they were getting by with dog whistles and coded language. Now they're just out in the open with it lol. I just think its a turnoff for a lot of people.

I see they're starting to use the Scott Jennings "this was expected to happen" line lmao.

It wasnt just a clean sweep. The margins of victory were a signal to the White House, you dont have to admit it but the midterms just got a lot more interesting.

Instead of fixing the economy, they decided to focus their efforts on deploying armies of masked gunmen to terrorize, hunt and kidnap American citizens

Guess that wasnt the syrupy sweet feel good Christmas story they thought it would be

The results are not as meaningful as dems here believe them to be. They also aren’t as meaningless as the repubs here claim they are.

I would say that they're fairly meaningful. A shift of a couple points in either direction can be catastrophic for either party in during the mid terms or in the national election in 3 years.

Year 1 from the Trump admin has clearly been a dud. His approvals have sank, his voter base can see that he didn't have his magic wand and fix inflation like he was yelling during his campaign. They're see ICE rip children away from their parents in the news. Many small businesses are feeling the effects of Trump's stupid tarrifs. Republican farmers are getting fucked in the ass for a second time. I don't think people like Trump trying to deploy the military in places like Portland lmao.

Could Republicans fix their issues and actually start governing instead of living on social media 24/7? I suppose it could happen. There's been weirder shit.

I've said it in another thread, but you've got MTG breaking away from the Trump admin over the shutdown. As batshit crazy as she is, she can read a room.

And again, Dems don't need a landslide to seriously hamstring the Trump administration after the mid terms.

Its just New York City and Deep blue areas. That is what CatTurd and Baldy Pool told me. All of the MAGA social media influencers I follow are telling me its no big deal.

The MAGA faithful are basically sticking their head in the sand. The prices of everything is too damn high, and if they don't get that under control, then they will get crushed in the mid terms.
The economic policy of making sure the Elite get richer is not an election winning strategy no matter how hard you dog whistle. Dog Whistles don't put food in your belly.

I'm actually less interested in what happens to Republicans in the midterm and more interested in what happens to established Dems in 2026. If Zohran and other elected Dems can even do a portion of what they campaigned on I think establishment and right leaning Dems are screwed. I say that because Dems will no longer be able to run on Trump bad, me good campaigns. They will actually have to campaign on stuff that Dems should have been pushing through for years such as Medicare for All.

I think the main goal for Dems is to push decent policy but also going forward to stop having people like Krysten Sinema, John Fetterman and Joe Manchin enter the party. The Dems that are Dems during campaigns but when it is time to get the actual work done they are Republicans.

It's been a bit of a disaster.

Trump bull rushed the economy as quickly as he could, destabilising markets both internationally and domestically, at a time where most MAGA were saying prices were already too high ("thanks Biden").

Such risky nonsense doesn't work - but I suppose he shrouded it for a bit by reacting to very specific things (egg prices) and the rubes played along like it was all coming together.

But it wasn't.

Here in California, people received a letter informing them of the cuts to their Medi-Cal healthcare programs, because of the federal budget cuts, one day before the election

I'm sure that wasnt just a coincidence LoL

I think establishment Dems are screwed either way. Nobody wants people like Chuck Schumer and Pelosi in power anymore. They've overstayed their welcome by a long shot.

The only way they have a chance of maintaining some sort of power is if Michelle Obama decides to run for president and wins. Outside of that, I think the establishment is getting put out to pasture from the ground up. It might not happen overnight, but over the next decade most of them will be gone.

Trump was right about draining the swamp. Unfortunately, he clearly supports the worst swamp monsters. Imagine being an idiot who voted for Trump sitting at your house and chanting "drain the swamp" at your TV only for this clown to turn around and say he's supporting Andrew Fucking Cuomo 😂🤷‍♂️

he was counting on his base being extra retarded. i think he is still correct about his base.

Who would have thought the Jewish Space lasers lady, is a forward thinker.
It is amazing the further Old Pussy Neck Trumps poll numbers fall, the more his administration doubles down on dumb shit.
I own a small business, and am seeing health insurance prices for next year. Right now the best I can find is a 16% increase over last year. IF MAGA is more concerned with dog whistles and not fixing prices of every thing, it will not be a good mid term which makes Old Pussy Neck a lame duck. I could be driving a Lambo for what I pay for health insurance for me and my family.
The 1% this administration have made richer, even with them owning all the media wont help them win. At the end of the day, if you cant afford anything, no matter what the media tells you, it cant be heard over your growling stomach.

Oof, tremendous post.

And for the ones still saying it doesn't matter because these are deep blue areas, here's a national poll:

52% blame the GOP for the shutdown, versus 42% blaming the Democrats

And daddy Trump himself said that the shutdown is a big factor in yesterday's elections

And to point to a growing issue, there are plenty of Republicans that live in blue states.

It's pretty fucking wild to see a president say he's going to freeze federal funding to NY because his feelings are hurt over who won.

Republicans on this board love to claim they are the manliest of men, then why is Trump acting like such a bitch over over a fucking Mayor LOL.

If there is one thing both parties agree upon, it's that they hate rich people buying the government. Both parties have lost the plot there. I don't see how either party is sustainable going forward in their current forms. If the Republicans, keep pushing project 2025, people will revolt. If the Dems keep pushing people like Pelosi and Jeffries, then the Dems are going to shift bigly away from that shit.

People are just tired of having a middle man fuck up their healthcare and tired of rich people hoarding all the wealth in the "richest nation on earth." If you're in your mid 30s and just bought a house like me or own a small business like you, this certainly doesn't feel like the richest nation on earth. Nobody wants their tax money going towards blowing up children in the middle east anymore.

Congratulations to Democrats for winning elections in Democrat-majority cities and states.

That is an amazing accomplishment nobody saw coming, except everyone that can read polls and understand percentages.

The current governor of Virginia is a Republican. Spanberger defeated the current Republican Lt. Governor. Jay Jones defeated the incumbent Republican Attorney General.

This was also an off year election which usually favors Republicans because of low turnout.

Midterms are going to be rough for you.
