There's no just moving on from this. These guys will be prosecuted for any crimes they've committed, even if it was money laundering years ago, as they should be. If anything the Presidency will lose power post Trump. This guy wants to install an authoritarian regime and our democracy depends on enforcing and even strengthening our separation of power. I can't believe so many lemmings are willing to walk off the cliff with this guy.

Here's a clue, juries don't set precedents. Trial courts don't. Appeallate, state supreme, and scotus do.

Weird thing is Nixon was pardoned without even being formally charged, let alone sentenced. You're very likely correct that a pardon wouldn't be issued until he's sentenced, though. I think Trump is just sending signals about how highly he values loyalty to himself.
