See, that's silly. You just assume that everyone else is as tribalistic as you are because you're unable to understand a liberal perspective. In this case, everyone can see what Trump is. Even you try to play it both ways because you know that--on the one hand, he's a deeply immoral crook and his supporters are fine with that so nothing we find matters; on the other, he did nothing wrong or the criminality (and Russian collusion) stops exactly at what is publicly known at any given time (and since that keeps expanding, your own moral and intellectual decline also expands). I don't think there's any defense of the guy except on your grounds--"my party right or wrong."

Be honest: would you lie if you were in Cohen's shoes?

There's no way to prove or disprove his claim. He does far less time in prison for making the claim, saves on attorney's fees and has to deal with a lot less stress.
