Did you not hear the tape that Cohen released of he and Trump talking about the payments before the election.? There is literally an actual audio that was released to the media. He can certainly claim what he did was legal, but he can not deny knowledge because, you know, their is an audio tape.

But the payment wasn't related to the campaign, according to his team.
