Your opinion isn't reasonable. Could McGregor win? Sure. All the evidence we have though points to him losing, and losing pretty handily. Even if he wins it won't mean you had some deep insight into the future, you'd just have gotten lucky despite guessing at something without any sort of reasonable basis. At this point it's about as probable as Jones rematching Shogun and Shogun tearing through him like paper.
More skilled and athletic? Just went vague with that one and didn't feel it was necessary to explain huh. Well I'd say Nates black belt skills as a BJJ practitioner are skills that Conor doesn't have, Nate is a better MMA boxer as he proved already so that's another skill set (the one Conor bases 90% of his game on) in which Nate is more skilled, clinch fighting is another skill that Nate is just better at, Conor might be a better kicker but he rarely uses it so does that really matter? Overally I would say Conor is a puncher, that is his skill and Nate is a boxing, clinching, bjj blackbelt and those are his skills. By athleticism I'm assuming you mean explosiveness and I would say Conor has the edge there but if we're including size, strength, endurance and durability then Conor is out matched again. Overall we have already seen Nate overwhelm Conor with no camp at all and finish Conor as soon as Nate turned it on. So a full camp Nate will be even worse for Conor.
A Nate that always prepares for his opponents during fights, dissects them and prepares a gameplan to stay away from their strengths and impose his, doesn't have that camp and gets hit by Conor's left a bunch is surprising? Diaz will keep Conor on the outside or suck him all the way into the clinch this time, from the beginning, just like he did to make him give up last time. Conor isn't a dominant leg kicker, that game plan won't work, the only guys who have effected Nate with leg kicks are the guys with brutal muay thai... that's not Conor. Oh and for the record I won't be in here saying I was backing Conor if he somehow beats Nate. Also you're right it's not like Conor is fight Khabib who is shorter and would have a stand up deficit against Conor, he's fighting a worse match up for him in Diaz.
