So sad can you image your mate watching you fight and dying? Boxing trainer Diego Arrua died Friday night in Tijuana, Mexico, following a heart attack suffered during his wife Sabrina Perez's bout against Skye Nicolson.

"Arrua collapsed between Rounds 9 and 10 of the bout, which was broadcast on DAZN and was part of the Matchroom Boxing show at the Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutierrez."

"It is with deep sadness that we have been informed of the sudden death of Argentine coach Diego [Arrua], who suffered a devastating heart attack during the Sabrina Perez fight in Tijuana," Sulaiman said.

Perez was not in the ring when the decision was read at the conclusion of her fight. Nicolson won by unanimous decision to claim the WBC interim featherweight title.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with Sabrina Perez and your loved ones," Matchroom said on X.

Not boxing news so I’m sorry in advance. Just went to the rumble in the jungle ‘interactive’ theatre show in London and it was amazing, if you can make it to London to see it do so. Apparently it will be taken out on tour next year, New York first. Not going to go into too much detail but you get taken in groups to the first room that is like a boxing gym. You are then “transported” back to the 70s and go into a massive hall with bars food etc the whole place set up to be 1970s DRC there is so much going on. You can have a beer a watch a political speech from Mobutu and even opposition, or walk to the gym and watch an interview taking place after a sparing session. Fucking amazing night. You also get a James brown gig for your money that was amazing. The last hour you go into the ‘stadium’ to watch the fight and it’s so amazingly done I won’t spoil it. Unfortunately it did, to a small degree perpetuate the bullshit myth that people have of that fight. Like Ali was dodging and avoiding punches as appose to the reality of taking heavy blows from one of the heaviest hitters of the time. Whole thing is about 4 hours. Great night. My review can’t do it justice as I don’t want to spoil it

The partnership that Bob Arum & Frank Warren have is powerful. Arum says Eddie Hearn will never make it in the US because he has no such partnership. Though BOXXER with their NBC deal looks like they will crack the US market.

Bob Arum was losing to Golden Boy Promotions for awhile but now in US it is mainly Al Haymon, but Bob says his and Franks new deal with the Saudi Arabia is the secret sauce they were waiting on, no more losing fighters as they have the power as money talks in boxing.

But Matchroom Boxing can use Saudi money too. So will wait to see what deals Eddie will make with them.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was treated in a psychiatric facility after a near overdose.

The guy has had his share of major fuck ups, but it's sad to see him in this state.
