Noah's Boring Log

I ended up going with these:

VS Athletics > VS Dynamo Weightlifting Shoe

They were $10 off with a code I found on the crossfit message board by way of google, which made them the cheapest I could find. The heels are probably pretty high on these too, but I keep a pretty vertical shin so hopefully it won't be a problem.

What kind of lifting does your wife do?

The heels on those are lower. All the new ones are lower so you should be all set.

She does strength training. She was doing Starting Strength and doing damn good but then she got lazy and quit. She got her squat up to 145(3x5) and her deadlift up to 170x5 @ 120. She keeps saying she's going to start again but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, Jes, my girlfriend has quit lifting as well. She's "injured" with some tendinitis, but refuses to take rehabiliation seriously. I always felt that she was on the verge of quitting during her entire lifting career and never really enjoyed it or took it seriously, but she claims otherwise. Then again, I have the unfortunate tendency to misinterpret almost everything.

I forwent the squats because I can feel a pain in my hip similar to what I was feeling a couple months ago before I became immobilized. I did some light sets though. I'm seeing a chiropractor tomorrow, I've been massaging it with a plastic plum (in place of a tennis ball), and my squat shoes should be here soon, so hopefully I will be able to avert whatever happened last time.

That's what happens when you pass me on squats! :icon_twis

Just kidding. Best of luck with your hip pain.
