HW has Werdum
MW has Jacare
WW has Maia

And so on....

When was the last time LHW had a killer submission fighter who is a serious threat off his back? Was there ever one? I dont even put Arona in this category, he was a good grappler but not a big finisher. Lil Nog was decent, but he preferred to box most of his career.

Jones almost got his arm ripped off by Vitor, who is a black belt but not exactly a guy you think of as a submission expert.

I wonder how that division would look if you had a bjj ace comparable to the 3 I mentioned above.

They can't deal with the athleticism and explosiveness of the top 3 LHW fighters

The whole division is shallow IMO. Look at the top ten, and it's filled with old men.

While there isn't a traditional BJJ guy that really sticks out you can say Jones. He's submitted quite a few legit BB's

Ya he's decent, but to be fair his subs came over broken opponents who were pretty much done one way or another. I've never seen him off his back, and I've never seen him pull some slick jj, he obviously has some technique and in a dominant position he can power his way into it... but I think he's get toyed with on the ground by Werdum, or even a much smaller Jacare.

I didn't even know there was 10 fighters in LHW let alone a top ten :D

They need to bring back Robert Drysdale!!!

One of BJJs greats, dude can tap anyone in LHW

It's 2016 it's not really wise to be playing guard with a 205er on top of you... Bjj is not only about fighting of your back is a about controlling people on the ground

Not in UFC but Liam Mcgeary is out there too he has nice BJJ obviously not on the level of the ones u mentioned. Neither is Drysdale but eh

Jones got caught in one armbar for about 5 seconds a few years ago. He's never had to work off his back, so no idea how he is at it, but he's got the most submission wins at LHW in UFC history and more sub wins in the UFC than a lot of the 'great' BJJ practioners.

Phil Davis is another excellent grappler, though his game off his back got exposed as less than stellar against Rashad. And he's in Bellator now.

Drysdale's legacy in the division will be that he is the only fighter to have more failed tests than UFC fights.

Arona goes undefeated in adcc without a single point scored against him and he's considered a "good grappler." lol

the top 3 light heavyweights are very african american indeed.

Your avatar makes Nate Diaz look mentally retarded. Not sure it that was your goal or not.
