No serious BJJ threat at 205...

Yeah great comparison genius, Perosh and Nate Marquardt.

You should just stick to bonerack chick fights.
I know right? Nate was in the top 10 for ages and was a top 5 dude for a long time as well, people shit on him now that he's past his prime but he made his MMA debut in 1999 and has some of the most explosive finishes middleweight has seen.

Arona goes undefeated in adcc without a single point scored against him and he's considered a "good grappler." lol

You're talking to youngsters who don't know how good he was in nogi.

He wasn't crafty in MMA nor did he try very hard to win by sub. But his top control and weight distribution was definitely a thing to behold!
I remember him looking average for his weight class and bigger than Saku. Wonder if he'd be 185 by modern standards.

For sure, guy's been around forever... and it's not like I'm trying to knock Perosh, but the guy's a grappler who's never knocked out anyone standing before the Vinny fight. Marquardt is a legit standup threat even today well past his prime (just KO'd Dolloway).

This guy had a fight or two at lhw.

Still think that was a BS stoppage.
Nate was a good fighter, but he roided, did TRT without permission, and his wins over Maia and Palhares deserve a little questioning.

I didn't even know there was 10 fighters in LHW let alone a top ten :D

They need to bring back Robert Drysdale!!!

One of BJJs greats, dude can tap anyone in LHW

"Who is this Robert Drysdale? He's an idiot."

Despite what is perceived as a shallow division in the current landscape, there's a reason LHW was long considered the "premier" division in MMA. It's the sweet spot for power, explosiveness, and skill. A "pure" BJJ practitioner has a hard time dealing with that under the MMA rule set.

If he can manage not to test positive every time, sure.

Well, nobody is really a 'pure' BJJ practioner in MMA these days, even a guy like Maia has developed very good wrestling and there's a reason several of the best BJJ/ground fighters in the UFC are wrestlers. You need high level wrestling or some other form of takedowns to use your BJJ.

Kron Gracie is going to try and prove you wrong.

Drysdale would certainly be a threat if he could stay clean.

Hoger Gracie. If he had a better strength and conditioning program he would have done a lot better.
