No Rest for the Weary

::not able to fully activate the glutes::

::pulls 3xBW::

mind = blown

LOL! I rarely feel my ass during lower body movements

I've never felt like I was really engaging mine. Only recently have I started to have a better time communicating with that area.

Which sounds hilarious

Shit nice deadlift brother, that's awesome. Can't watch vid on phone but will when I get home.

Thanks mate!
Yeah, RAGE!!!!

(Sorry, I don't do anger/intensity. The closest I can get is mild annoyance.)

Tried free squat. Not exactly painful, but feeling compression when at the bottom.
Front squats seemed ok. little pain in the left leg.

other than that. unmotivated and just wanted to finish the training

Plan next months or so
Madcow: half squats on box
Bench Press: Sheiko
Deadlift: Sheiko
Problem is the pins are too low, so If I fail the box squats ill probably die.

Lying press?

Is that bench press?

Yeh. Its the russian way of saying bench press.

The best way of saying bench. I gotta go edit my log.

Come to think of it, if your glute activation is poor it's not outside the realm of possibility that that could be related to your hip issues.

In for the glute-talk because I feel nothing too.

True. I actually stole it from legio.

Another cool russian translation is: Deep knee bends, cultivation of hands with dumbbells laying, Knee-bends with a bar in scissors.

Knee-bends with a bar in scissors.

Front squat ?

I nose, thats why I plan on working on it. Your welcome to inform me why :) ?
I found something that rippetoe wrote, that said something about the knee tracking forward because of overactive hams I think and it could cause a tendinitis between several muscles that get compressed. Ill see if I can find the quote.

Rippetoe quote:
"The hip flexor problem happens because of the tension applied to the insertion at the ASIS as the knee drops forward..when the hamstrings relax and allow the knees to drop forward, the tension at the insertion becomes more dynamic. Not everybody has trouble with this, but when one does, this is usually the reason."
I think there's more on page 45 in SS I think. But I havent read it.
Ive also read in Sahrman "Diagnosis and treatment of movement impairment syndroms" and the symtoms seem to fit the "Anterior femoral glide syndrome". Active glutes will pull the femoral head posteriotly so it doesnt bang forward and cause pain...... soo YAY for better activated and sexier glutes

I don't know why.

But improper muscle activation means improper joint kinematics, and under heavy loads that can't be good.

EDIT: "joint kinematics" as in how the femoral head tracks/rotates in the joint socket.
