Good luck, im finishing cycle 1 this weekend. Then i do deload a few days making it 6-7 days without the compound before i start next cycle. ill just do assistance those days.

Sounds good to me. I'm curious though, why is the PP an assistance movement on bench day ?
 
Your supposed to use an "opposite" assistance exercise. So as an assistance for deadlifts you use a squat movement (front squats), for overhead press, use a bench press assistance (close grip).

Wendlers original spreadsheet used incline press after bench. I do not like the incline press, and thought it would be better to add a horizontal pressing exercise, so I went with push press. I sent wendler a question on elitefts about using push press as an assistance, but he has not responded :(

Hopefully he'll get around to it.

It seems odd to me. Considering you should be able to PP a bit more than you can strict(Unless you're Din). How would you work around this ? Just go lighter ? I think that would ultimately defeat the purpose. Perhaps make the push press the main movement and use the strict as a assistance ?

week one: 3 sets of 10, the highest being 70% x 10
week two: 2 sets of 8 and last set being 80% x 6
week three: 3 sets of 5, the last set being 85% x 5
week four: deload
If you complete the reps, you move up 5lbs / 10lbs as you would on a 5/3/1 lift

Im still doing smolov jr for a while, so I wont do 5/3/1 for upper body lifts yet, so I got some time to think about it.
