Law No more nationwide injunctions from district judges

And that is literally what trump is arguing against with the birthright citizenship case

Trump argues that to be citizens they have to have at least 1 citizen parent even if they're born here.
Thats only for new babies.
(b) Subsection (a) of this section shall apply only to persons who are born within the United States after 30 days from the date of this order.

It absolutely is happening. The right wing CATO institute has confirmed it. Over 70 US Citizens deported and counting.

70 US CITIZENS???

Hey, if that's true then burn it all down, right buddy?

My particular disdain for Jackson will always exist simply due to the way in which her nomination process was handled. It’s not necessarily HER fault, but essentially turned the court into even more of a laughing stock.
As opposed to attempts to nominate Emil Bove or Harriet Miers to rather powerful courts?

They are told they have the choice of taking their child or not.

You are just made the anchor baby is no longer an anchor for illegals. They came or stayed illegally so the situation is their fault.

I honestly dont care as much as you think I do, because I'm not entirely sure ANY Country owes citizenship to any person born on their soil and I think the issue of not declaring black people, Native Americans and Mexicans who remained after colonization could have been executed more eloquently.

What I oppose is that this isnt being approached with that in mind. It's being approached largely from hypernationalism and using the otherizatiob of immigrants as a political cudgel

I think she deserves any and all blame she gets. She knows she's an idiot, she knows she's a DEI appointment, and she over-talks because she thinks she's untouchable because she's a black woman.

There is nothing stopping him from deporting a born here to a pair of illegal immigrants 18+ old saying they're not an American citizen

We can bump this post when it happens. Probably will find a lowest of the low murderer or rapist for the test case, but without the nationwide injunction trump is now allowed to deport American citizens claiming the 14th amendment means whatever he and the justice department want it to mean. Can't be stopped by a court anymore until the original case is resolved.

If he does before a court decision then he is wrong and it would call it out as wrong.

Do you think Jackson’s nomination was appropriate?
As appropriate as pretty much any other nomination throughout the court's history. Do you think Johnson didn't consider race when nominating Thurgood Marshall?

Or even better, why do you think there were no black justices for most of the nation's history?

Why is talking and asking questions during oral hearings bad? And what part of her credentials or background are lacking for a judge?

Imagine suggesting Jackson was a "DEI" appointee while having one of the most decorated resumes of all the Justices pre-appointment, as opposed to the one Justice who actually is the least qualified on paper, never did any trial work, whom McConnell also had to break his own rule to Jam through.

Or any of the Justices who lied through their teeth to Congress about the importance of precedent and "the law of the land."

Or the two Justices who needed to clear sexual assault hearings, one of whom sobbed like a baby because beer. Lol

Like I intimated earlier, how quickly people forget Harriet Miers and who tried to push that through.

I think what SCOTUS was trying to do is to tell the lower courts to stay in their lane and let them handle these decisions.
That's why injuctions aren't permanent.

The executive is the only branch with real effective power, which is why it also should be the branch with the most checks on it.

If the executive has free rein to do whatever until it reaches the SCOTUS then its an effective dictatorship for all decisions that can't be reversed.
