no amount of money can solve your problems

Money solves many problems, especially in a societies with stagnating wages and higher cost of living. People move to entirely different parts of the world and learn new languages because money (which is also tied to o p p o r t u n i t y) solves their problems. If money was redistributed with the health of all humans and the planet in mind it would outright solve or at least ameliorate the vast majority of large issues plaguing humankind. What would be left to deal with would be social issues, which money would also help with.

On an individual level, it won't solve everything of course, it's up to you to figure out how to be a decent human and function as well as you can, and that difficulty varies depending upon what circumstances you've dealt with and your mental and physical state. Money can open doors to help you with that though.

Poverty rears it's ugly head

after the bare necessities, money is arbitrary. you only need to make as much as your own personal wants and desires are. people think they need a lot of stuff when they in actuality don't. they're trained to want things they don't, because that's how others get rich. wanting more extravagant toys is only there to impress others. everyone caught up in the rat race of impressing others. not saying nice toys aren't fun, am simply saying that it's a dead-end if your sole goal is the constant pursuit of nicer and nicer things.
