NINTENDO SWITCH Official Discussion v2: Nintendo's Big Comeback Starter Pack

Wow this looks.... bad....

Other than needing to wire it to the phone, none of this really bothers me since it's the same setup I use on my PC(Headset to dongle, dongle to PC). The phone thing bugs me as it comes off as an unnecessary 3rd step and I don't like the headset, but that's more of a personal preference thing(hate it when the support is on the back of the head instead of up top).

I actually think the headset looks dope, just not a fan of it only working when the Switch is out of the dock. I'm going to play Splatoon 95% docked so I wouldn't be able to use this.

It all depends of the cable length of the headset or better yet if it's changeable/extendable.

Life is good, ninerninerniner.

From the creators of Skullgirl comes,

Indivisible

Pretty sure I posted about this a long time ago when the Indiegogo was still ongoing. Why am I bringing this up again you ask?

Also, future build characters include Shovel Knight, Shantae, and Annie Girl of the Stars from Skullgirl.

You can pre-order/support via backerkit in the following link.

https://indivisible-rpg-from-the-creators-of-skullgirls.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders/78704

Edit: Drifter from Hyper Life Drifter and Juan from Guacamelee are also in this.

Edit 2: All these years I though it was "Life is Good, nananana" when it's actuall, "I Feel Good, nananana".

Switch paid Online is now coming 2018!

http://www.nintendo.com/switch/online-service/

I'm legit curious about the game service. If it's a sort of library rental thing with all of their games then I can REALLY get behind that shit all the way. Like you can rent as many as 5 games per month then when that's up you can rent some different ones or just renew the same ones.

I'll bite for $20 a year just for Monster Hunter and some classics. I'm hoping at their E3 Treehouse they run they announce their Virtual Console is up and running.

they better have a bunch of 3rd party games we dont know about because the service seems pointless

I really hope that's not the case, if I buy a game I want to keep it regardless if my online sub expires or not. I'm fine paying a yearly fee to use online services.

it's silly to be excited over, bit I can't wait to play Secret of Mana with my kid. Bummed it never hit the Wii U but I read it's going to be one of the first Switch VC games.

LETTER FROM MATTHEW KARCH, CEO OF SABER

We love our players. The passion we see from streamers. The interaction and dialog we have on Facebook. The back and forth Tweets… We love it. We’re a small team and we’ve worked hard to deliver the best bang for buck we possibly could with NBA Playgrounds. We took arcade 2v2 basketball back from the dead and we crammed as much fun into a $20 game as humanly possible.

Right away, you let us know what you wanted – what our launch was missing. So we improved. We added friends, online tournaments, reworked shot mechanics, new players, and endless performance and balance changes. We’re committed to making the game better and better. And we’re already working on the next round of feedback.

But for our Switch players, still awaiting online play – and believe us, it’s coming soon – we can do more. Our Nintendo fans were left without online play and though the fix is done and going through the final motions, we can still do something nice. Something big. Something free.

It’s good to be independent because no one sense checks our crazy when we look to reward a portion of our supportive, patient playerbase with something truly insane, like a free game.
It’s with tremendous thanks and appreciation to our Nintendo fans who are still waiting online play that we offer you an entirely new game absolutely free. That’s right, we’re giving away a copy of Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn for Switch to every Nintendo NBA Playgrounds player who has been patiently awaiting the first patch.

Please note that restrictions do apply. We are still working with our partners to determine exactly how NBA Playgrounds players will receive their free copy of Shaq Fu when it releases this Fall, but if you bought or buy in to NBA Playgrounds before the patch hits, you’re getting a free copy of Shaq Fu. Why? Like we said at the beginning, we love our players and we’re always going to work to do right by them.

I'm workpwnt so I can't link the article, but before I left my house this morning Kotaku updated their Switch Online Service article. They got conformation from Nintendo that the $20 will open an unlimited service to a library of classic games. Previous stories mentioned they would rotate games monthly, so I'm glad to see them moving in a different direction

That's very cool of them. I picked up Playgrounds for the PS4 and like it a lot. When I finally get a Switch i'll probably buy Playgrounds again, so I can use it in bed, or around the house, balcony.

I'm SO happy they decided not to do that whole monthly game BS. If you can keep and play all the games as long as you have the sub it'll easily be worth $20 a year.

Damn you! You beat me to it. Here's a video from GameXplain about this and VC.

There's nothing silly about bonding with family over something awesome whether it be gaming, cartoons, movies, etc.

Is there a list of rumored games to be out first on the Switch VC?
