NINTENDO SWITCH Official Discussion v2: Nintendo's Big Comeback Starter Pack

I'm sold on a double dip for Payday 2 on the Switch.

Soooooo...Faaaaaarrr...Awaaaaaaayyy!!! I need Splatoon NOW DAMMIT!!! In either case, the stuff they show cased looked legit amazing and I was shocked to see Payday 2 on there. With the bank stuff I thought it was gonna be SteamWorld Heist.

Lol, that's fucking hilarious man. I'm liking this direct so far. and I'm effectively sold on ARMS. That shit looks fun as fucking hell. Jesus that Nintendo thing is gonna MURDER in sales.

Edit: I need a fucking job and money. So much stuff that looks awesome.

2 v 2 arms looks like it's gonna be crazy.

Game looked legit amazing fun. Like it's weird, when I first saw it on Jan 13 I was ambivalent and skeptical of it, but the more I've seen of it the more I'm sold on it. It just looks like the sort of Chaos Reigns kind of fun I like in those kinds of games. Kind of like Splatoon. Easy enough fro casual to pick up, but requiring more complex strategies to get really far for more hardcore players.

I'm actualy looking forward to Sine Mora since there really has been a bad drought in shoot em up games like that and hindsight I really should not be surprised about Payday 2 being on the Switch give the Electro Rodent Mask.

SO HAPPY we have a release date for Splatoon 2!! Even if it is still so far away :/

The new Salmon mode looks awesome. Can't wait to see more.

The bad is now they announced 6 more amiibo for me to drain my wallet on lol.

Really glad to see that Oceanhorn is coming to the Switch. It's been out for a bit on Steam, and then PS4/XB1. Seems like a great portable type game so was hoping to see it come to the Vita, but will be a great fit on the Switch.

Looks like it plays a lot like A Link to the Past and has gotten pretty good reviews.

Here it is running on a Switch (Beta)

Might be Japan only, but no region lock for those interested

Nintendo re-registered their trademark for Eternal Darkness early January. Means they plan on re-releasing it via virtual console hopefully. If that happens I am re-buying a copy. that game was so awesome.

I am still hoping for a sequel...

You're not the only one. Unfortunately Silicon Knights is no more, and the game sold less than 50,000 copies worldwide. The chances of Nintendo ever revisiting that one is slim.

Precursor Games (a studio staffed by many of the original Silicon Knights developers and headed by the old president of SK Denis Dyack) was planning on putting out a spiritual successor called Shadow of the Eternals. After three failed Kickstarter campaigns and the arrest of one the co-founders on child pornography charges, that evaporated into the aether also.

On a more related note, the games announced on the Nintendo Direct look interesting. Some I will definitely want for the Switch, some I won't. In either regard, I'm glad that the releases are steadily coming through.

Arms does look dope. The more I look at the videos, the more it reminds me of Virtual On. I absolutely loved that game, but we really haven't been privy to the more recent releases stateside. That is definitely a new game I'm looking forward to.
