Had no dog in this fight coming into the series. Seeing the Oilers biting ankles and hitting groins after going down 3-0 made me root hard against them. Glad Florida won, but this is a tough one to swallow for the Edmonton fans, though. I definitely feel for them.

I didn't downplay his performance, at all. I also didn't overstate it. He was nonexistent in the two most important games. One of which they won without him. There were a couple crucial games this year in the playoffs that Edmonton won in spite of McDavid. Florida couldn't even win a game when Bob was struggling. That speaks volumes. He is the clear cut, not even close, MVP and he was robbed because the NHL wanted to give their darling some sort of participation trophy. Disgraced the Conn Smythe in process.

hell of a seaon for the oilers. they go from looking horrible to start the season off to then putting together a legendary win streak, and then have some crazy comebacks in the playoffs to be 1 win away from the cup. crazy.

and hell of a run for the panthers these past couple years. presidents trophy three years ago, stanley cup finals last year, stanley cup winners this year. damn!
