They have 1 line, and no golie. Regardless of what happens this round, they aren't winning the Cup. What do they do in the off season? Aquire a goalie? Are there any good RFA/UFA goalies available this summer? Has Skinner even had a save % over .800 this series?

Actually no. Over 3 games, his save % is .793. He lets in almost every scoring opportunity and even some that aren't.

With regard to the Oilers having only 1 line, they out shot the Canucks 45 to 18 and look superior outside of goaltending. It's really just amazing that the Canucks 3rd string goalie is better than Skinner. With quite a bit of help from the post in last night's game.

I guess Silovs is just playing with no pressure since everyone expects him to be bad and Skinner is a choke artist.

I have no idea who's available, but anyone would be better than Skinner. Choking is probably the worst quality you could have as an athlete. This is 2 years in a row (the only 2 years he has played) that he is much worse in the post season than the regular season and that isn't something that gets better in my experience.

As Skinner falters in Game 3, Oilers can't continue to lose goaltending battle to Canucks

The pedigree of Edmonton’s offence would not have any Oilers fans concerned about eventually solving Arturs Silovs, as well as he has played. But it all comes apart if the goaltending isn’t there.

That's probably being generous with the scoring chances for both teams, but basically the Oilers dominated outside of goaltending.

The Canucks aren't looking better than anyone expected outside of I guess Silovs. They aren't winning either. I think they would get routined by either Dallas or especially the Eastern Conference finalist and their only hope to make the finals would be the Avalanche with Georgiev playing as abysmally as Sinner has.

I don't know if Canucks can get to the cup but if they can take out the oilers thats good enough for me
 
mcdiver is such a bitch.

diving all up and down the ice all game long and making out with the refs to try to draw penalties. then throws a toddler tantrum after the game and tries to baseball bat soucy with a two handed golf swing which is not a hockey play and should result in an instant ban from the league + criminal charges for anybody who even tries such a disgusting act, it just missed soucy and soucy follows up with a lovetap after mcdiver dove some more from a lovetap from zadorov, and somehow out of all this, carson soucy is having a hearing and is probably going to get a suspension

we are playing against the soilers, the refs, and the league. the beta bitch ass cuckboi starts diving all up and down the ice and then diving some more after the game, despite the refs warning the oilers and telling them to knock off the embelishment, and now the soiled little dive baby is out there diving around and doing golf swings with his stick at players.

yet we're the ones who end up getting penalized out of it. the refs tried so hard to fuck us by calling a penalty every other minute......oh he's skating nearby an oiler? thats a penalty! mcdavid skates over a guys stick? that's a penalty! oh someone got nudged and threw himself to the ground like a hollywood soccer player? thats a penalty! someone just went offside? that's a penalty! canucks killed a penalty? better call another penalty!

well the refs couldnt fuck us over by calling bullshit penalties all day long, so now the leagues going to have to step in and take over and fuck us some more for simply just reacting to someone taking a golf/baseball swing at another player.



clubbing/baseball batting or whatever you want to call that has no place and hockey and if it was anybody other than the nhl's poster boy - the soiled little dive baby who did that, they would be turfed from the playoffs.

The teams both have 26 penalty minutes this series. Soucy lightly cross checked McDavid on his way behind the net and then pushed him after the buzzer. Connor retaliated by slashing his stick and then got a cross check to the face. No one is talking about what Connor did because that happens all the time and it was in retaliation.

zadorov just got fined $5K for his lovetap on mcdiver. should have hit him harder.

Vancouver defenceman Nikita Zadorov has been fined $5,000 US by the NHL and Canucks blue-liner Carson Soucy will have a telephone hearing with the league for cross-checks on Edmonton superstar Connor McDavid.

The discipline stems from an incident after the final buzzer sounded Vancouver's 4-3 Game 3 win over the Oilers on Sunday in Edmonton.

Soucy shoved McDavid behind the Vancouver goal and McDavid responded with a two-handed hit with his stick to Soucy's leg.

Zadorov then cross-checked McDavid from behind, and Soucy cross-checked the Oilers captain in the face as he was falling.

Soucy received a minor penalty for cross-checking.



so even after the game ended the refs were still calling penalties on vancouver. figures.

Soucy knew what he was doing. He was trying to antagonize Connor. What Connor did in retaliation is a 2 minute minor. That's a basic slashing penalty. Any attack to the face with a stick is going to be viewed this way.
