Ngannou getting too big for his britches

Francis is likely trying to get out of doing another MMA match under the PFL banner. The last I heard he was pushing for a boxing match against Wilder. His only mistake was signing with the PFL as a backup plan prior to his fight with Tyson fury.

1 title defence
every losses he has excuses like not in prime
injuries lool
when gane whooped his ass and he looked like an amateur standing
gane also took him down when gane decided

but acts like the HW goat
if you check his resume it looks like sht tbh
how can his fans be so proud of his wins against ancient overeem and retired fighter cain is mind boggling

and to think he could beat jones
seriously people couldnt figure how broad and wide jones skill is when compared to nganou

OP if you're going to say Francis said something at least post the video with a time stamp. The fact so many people in here are just believing what you said without proof or context is alarming.
That's how people got boosted.

Just listened to him on the weasel's show.

Dude is not the sharpest tool in the shed business wise. I commended him for betting on himself by leaving the UFC, and I'm glad it worked out for him financially.

That being said, the guy is an idiot. His reasoning for not showing up at PFL Africa is that the African fighters were on the undercard while Eblen, Dakota, etc. were on the main card.

As low as the PFL's viewership is, who was going to watch that card if it was just full of unknown African fighters? The PFL was smart to use their biggest names to highlight that card thus giving the African fighters an opportunity to shine.

The dude is just not bright at all. He's a diva too. He was at odds with Dana in the UFC, and now he's beefing with Don Davis (who's an idiot too btw). Smh!
Ya I have to agree with you. He had some success getting out of the UFC and going to boxing, but he completely let it go to his head. And as you said, he seems pretty clueless when it comes to business.

PFL can't seem to afford to pay him to fight again, and the UFC seemingly won't take him back. So unless he gets another boxing fight, he's basically retired.

Exactly! I think he still has a window (although it's getting smaller by the day) to right the ship.

If I were him, I'd look for one more boxing payday. Either Wilder or someone like Bakole would be great!

I'd then have a sit down with the PFL and ask for my release after eventually coming to the conclusion that they not only can't afford for me to fight, but they also don't have anybody for me to fight. They all just need to stop all this nonsense about co-promoting with the UFC for a Jones or Aspinall fight.

Last thing would be to humble myself and try to get back in the UFC. Whether Dana wants to admit it or not, they both need each other at this point. With the new rights deal, injecting Francis back in the HW division would be huge!

Either way, I wish Big Frank well. I'm worried though that, with his questionable business acumen, he could be one of those who'd lose his wealth rather fast after retirement and be forced to come back only to get sparked for paychecks.

Leaving UFC fattened his wallet but killed his legacy. Had he stayed in UFC hes atill champ with likely wins against Bones and Aspinal by now

Imo on a much lesser level Dakota is doing defame with her career . She could be fighting Valentina and Zhang - now shes stuck fighting cans for more up front money.
