onestly the money side of things is boring. Just as a mma fan, after he won the UFC title in 2021, he won a close fight with Gane after waiting a year, then a couple years later took down Renan and finished him in the PFL. What a waste of the final parts of his career. I was thinking he'd replace inactive Stipe and clean up the division. Just did nothing, what a bummer.

That's why they call it fuck you money, because you don't need to listen or cooperate due to not being financially independent. Smart or not he can now do and say what he wants with these guys.

He bet on himself but will it work out in the long run? I think his big paydays are in the rear view mirror and now he's liability for any promoter in either MMA or boxing.

He held out on the UFC until they cut bait, then signed an absurd and unsustainable contract with the PFL.

He had some brief hype because Tyson Fury took the night off and almost paid for it. But then Joshua exposed him for what he always was, a hoss with a big punch but shit tier boxing skill. He is just not a championship level boxer.

He has a nice story, but is low IQ, probably has CTE, and is a charisma blackhole. The man just doesn't have promotional chops and the best he could do was tap into a i-hate-my-stepdad anti-Dana White energy. People were cheering him standing up to the Big Red Goof but that just doesn't translate into box office. Nobody buys a ticket because you told the UFC to pound sand.

The PFL already shot their wad with him and can't afford to flush more money down the toilet. And the UFC already learned how much of a pain in the ass he is it's unlikely they will have him back. So I hope he's spending like a miser because I just don't know what promoter would want him.
