Just listened to him on the weasel's show.

Dude is not the sharpest tool in the shed business wise. I commended him for betting on himself by leaving the UFC, and I'm glad it worked out for him financially.

That being said, the guy is an idiot. His reasoning for not showing up at PFL Africa is that the African fighters were on the undercard while Eblen, Dakota, etc. were on the main card.

As low as the PFL's viewership is, who was going to watch that card if it was just full of unknown African fighters? The PFL was smart to use their biggest names to highlight that card thus giving the African fighters an opportunity to shine.

The dude is just not bright at all. He's a diva too. He was at odds with Dana in the UFC, and now he's beefing with Don Davis (who's an idiot too btw). Smh!

He made his money now he's happy to tell everyone to fuck off. Funny though because I think as much money as he's gotten, he hasn't made anyone that gave him that money anything. H

onestly the money side of things is boring. Just as a mma fan, after he won the UFC title in 2021, he won a close fight with Gane after waiting a year, then a couple years later took down Renan and finished him in the PFL. What a waste of the final parts of his career. I was thinking he'd replace inactive Stipe and clean up the division. Just did nothing, what a bummer.

Francis betting on himself and getting his bag were cool and all, and props to him for getting that bag, but there were indicators all along that he was maybe diva-ish, or at the very least had expectations FAR beyond the norm and what's realistic.

It's weird because some of the things he asked for I'm good with, but in the context of historic contracts, and every contract since, they were beyond atypical requests. Fighter advocates, freedom to box and other things, insurance for all.

I'm not even against the ideas, I'm just saying Francis clearly thought a lot of himself to expect he'd be the first guy to get those things. Not surprised to see him still doing business like that.
