That Winston crab stealing story is my favorite football player crime.

If youre going to say that the number of targets dont matter in terms of his catching skills then dont try and use numbers to prove how his routes are lacking. Put Matthews and Cooks up against a big physical corner and let me know who has the advantage. Thats kind of a big deal in the NFL, Cooks isnt scrappy like Steve Smith (though who is).

Anyway, theyre both very good prospects.
yes he is scrappy like Smith n lightning quick gives big corners trouble. One of the few wrs to consistently beat and seperate from Sherm has been Chris Givens and hes not nearly as physical or as good a route runner as Cooks

Well agree to disagree.

Raiders/Niners are doing a battle of the bay charity basketball game and Aldon is participating.

Guess they forgot what happened last time.

Matthews doesn't have a lot of twitch in his game. And he's not overly physical. So I think NFL corners are going to give him a lot of trouble. But I'm sure Kelly will find a way to get him involved.

Hes getting sent across the middle.

I take it u just watched the highlights of that game? Clowney didn't murder Lean or anything, plus Lean will probably play RT, lastly won't get into judging Lewans future pro success based on one game you probably only saw highlights of

Guessing you didn't see the video I posted of every single play in that game, of course. The better response would have been to discuss how that game was from a year ago and Lewan could have grown more in that time. But he didn't do too much against Clowney, and it's really hard to judge how Lewan is on an individual level because Michigan ran a bizarre offense where a tight end was lined up beside Lewan. Kinda hard to judge how good a player is when the defender has to worry about being chop blocked by a tight end.

As for what I saw against Clowney, Lewan did mediocre at best. And if the Titans lose Roos after the season (when his contract is up) or Roos gets hurt again (like he did last season), Lewan will man the blind side. It's not even a given that he'll line up at RT because the Titans stupidly spent a ton of money on Oher.

Matthews stinks. He'll probably put up decent numbers though as a result of that Chip Kelly offense.

The SEC's all time leader in receptions stinks? lol, no way dude. It's absolutely amazing the numbers Matthews put up last year when you consider his terrible quarterback play, and the fact that they force-fed the ball to him (so defenses keyed on him the entire game).

I don't know if he'll make it in the NFL (and I read that the Eagles were going to use him as a slot receiver, which I think is insane), I don't know how well he'll transition to the Eagles offense, but he doesn't stink. His biggest concerns were some drops, but I think that issue is a tad bit overrated, considering how this past season the quarterbacks only looked his way.

In my time, the only Vandy wide receivers worth a damn have been Earl Bennett and Jordan Matthews. Bennett was great in college, but he was just too damn small for the NFL. Matthews potential is beastly, but I don't know if he'll make the transition.

Here's Desean's analysis. Seems they wrote more back than and guess who he compared to lol...

It's always fun to read old scouting reports.

Tom Brady ran a 5.2 40. LOL. I always think about that when scouts call a quarterback "stonefooted."

A lot of scouting seems to be written by the same people who write horoscopes. Somewhat vague phrases, and too many bullet points. That's purposely done so that if any of the bullet points transition, the scout can say, "I told you so!"

And then get their own reality shows on OWN.

It's gotta be up there in terms of lulz

Crab legs?!?!?!

Looooooooool

I've got this image of him sticking them in his pants, and thus having what looks an indent of a really thin boner

Cracks me up

His potential is not beastly. Aj Green, Julio, Sammy that's beastly potential. Matthews does not have that kind of potential

Rams didn't know about Sam's reality show until after they drafted him. Fucking lol.

If I may weigh in on Cooks/Matthews

Matthews isn't overly physical and doesn't use his size very well. He's a fluid athlete but doesn't show a lot of explosiveness either.

Cooks, on the other hand, is less tentative and is lightning out of his breaks. He certainly doesn't have Steve Smith level of scrap though. That's absurd. Steve Smith is Steve Fucking Smith. Cooks could very well get bullied.

I think both sides have valid claim to their opinions. I personally think Matthews will have a hard time being more than a complementary weapon, as opposed to a #1 guy because of his style. Cooks will almost certainly never be a classic #1 outside WR, but he could be his team's biggest weapon out of the slot and at a more utility type of position.

I think Sam is a great player and have always thought he seemed like a stand up dude.

But this reality show is the fucking bottom of the barrel. He should be ashamed of himself. Way to embrace being a everyday rookie, asshole.
