You can't seriously compare Schaub to Vick, that, and the jets are in position to contend while the raiders will be lucky not to be the worst team, in football. Why sign a veteran if you're going to be terrible either way, if anything giving more reps to Pryor would be better for all parties.

Actually, unfortunately, most people have moved on. "That shit" isn't some petty crime. Dogs were TORTURED and murdered. We don't even torture animals we kill for food. Anyone that has a dog touch their lives should want this guy punished more than he was. As a society, we don't punish cruelty to animals like we should. Vick would have been a great case to establish a precedent of punishing scum. Instead, he got to come back to the NFL and make millions.

People don't even mention the reason for dog fights is to bet on the outcome. Illegal gambling is supposed to result in a lifetime ban as it can lead to a situation where a player might cheat in a game to cover a gambling debt. It also bring him in contact with other gamblers. A quarterback is in the perfect position to alter a game. Someone who would have dogs fight each other for money wouldn't think twice about throwing a game for money. Goodell was an idiot for allowing him back in the league and any team that signs him has to wonder when he misses a pass or throws an interception.
