NFL Discussion: Draft Day 2 "Your can team still sucks"

Who would you consider the best at breaking down a defense in the NFL? I will go with Drew Brees who scored a 28. Who is really bad at reading a defense and leads to throwing INTs? Ryan Fitzpatrick - 48. Blaine Gabbert - 42. Highest active QB wonderlic scores.

I think a basic problem that QBs face and have to "solve" is reading a blitz and where to go with the ball. Josh Allen's QB rating in that scenario is like 70. The other 3 Qbs in the top 10 all had 100-130+ Qb ratings in that scenario.

Those guys are also actually in the league opposed to the low wonderlic retards who aren't even back ups.

Josh Allen is a project. All of these QB's are, but he has more upside than all of them. It's pretty much plain as day to see.

Brees is good at presnap but Brees has unbelievable touch, understanding of timing, and he knows his throwing lanes better than anyone.

Presnap and who is the best? I'd say Aaron Rodgers is up there. Kirk Cousins is pretty solid but in the red zone he tries to force plays he sees aren't there. Brady is a master at cover 3 schemes. Alex Smith is really good too, but he isnt as dynamic of a guy as people want. Stafford is also a damn mad scientist. He has presnap but he also can wing it and find huge amounts of success.

Edit: Carson Wentz is good too. Idk if you can say whos definitely the best. It's not like any of these guys are like Peyton Manning. The guy who does the best on the fly though is Stafford so he's clearly a high IQ qb in football terms

Top 3 wishes for the Giants at #34:

Harold Landry
James Daniel
Will Hernandez

Unless someone trades up with Cleveland I think all three will be available. All are great fits with NYG. I'm torn here because Landry is clearly the BPA, pass rush is arguably the most important thing behind QB and outside of Vernon they have nobody. But the Giants need OL so badly. Daniel and Will would both start at RG immediately but Daniel has the versatility, could be the starting C in 2019 if they let Brett Jones go.

I'll be happy with any of them.

the issue is Josh Allen is incredibly intelligent and he has arm talent for days. If you can get him a proper coach he has the chance to be HOF.

37 Wonderlic for Allen

18 for Lynch

That's fair. Lynch is detarded.

If arm talent you mean strong arm, yeah, ok. He isn't accurate. Accuracy is more important than arm strength. I will be very surprised if Allen ever makes a pro bowl. Plus he is in Buffalo......ooofff........
He has issues on short passes because of his feet and he tries to do it all with his arm. He can drop back a bit and you can work on his footwork. Luckily his arm talent is good enough to where you don't need to focus on his motion because its fucked up to where you accept it and work with it. I see him as a Brett Favre type guy in that aspect. Great footwork, shitty arm mechanics.

Lmao. Youre a can.

You're a raiders fan, that's below a can my man

Are you serious lol

Proof, you don't have any great QB's besides them.

I think the average for a Superbowl Winning QB is like 27 and it's brought down by that Idiot Terry Bradshaw.

I could've been drafted in the 5th round if I was six inches taller, stronger, faster, more athletic/explosive, more coordinated, and had played football at any point in my life.

Am I doing it right?

I see him as Jay Shroeder, and that's a best case scenario.

I'm glad the Giants stuck to their guns on Barkley, I would probably have pussed out and drafted Nelson or Darnold. He could be a Hall of Famer if he gets the right environment...which might not be the Giants for a while, but we'll see how this draft goes.

Wonderlic determines how well you can break a problem down and solve it. It's great for things like picking up the nickel in a substitution and how to deal with it.

No, Wonderlic isn't the end all be all but it is definitely important to be talented and have the ability to break down problems.

Lamar Jackson is a retard with zero footwork. The kid has no chance and it's a shame. Josh Allen is a smart kid with tons of arm talent.

Paxton Lynch is like Lamar Jackson.
Lol at calling Lamar a retard with zero footwork when he hasn't taken a snap or gotten any coaching in the NFL. You know who has bad footwork? Sam Darnold. Just because Lamar talks a certain way doesn't mean he's retarded. He's literally the closest thing to Vick since he came out. He was one of the best players in college football with not much talent around him unlike Baker. Josh Allen has a cannon that he did shit all with in college.

Fair enough. Are you a Bills fan?

Nah, I'm a Bears fan. Roquan Smith gonna be the best will LB of all time. I'm drinking the Kool-aid.

Michael Vick was an overrated player his entire career. He got by because of his physical gifts then went to prison and came back having to actually learn how to play football. Stop playing Madden and pick up a playbook.

Lamar is retarded because he didn't get an agent, didn't practice for the wonderlic, did poorly on it, was in a QB friendly system, and he was such a good athlete nobody coached him on how to be an NFL QB. A bunch of players have that issue but when Lamar isn't in shotgun it's absolutely horrifying. He's got highschool level skills and he's now in the NFL. If he proves me wrong I'll be happy for him. I also think Sam Darnold is going to flop too.

None of these QB's in this draft I am big on. I also wasn't big on last years QB's.

It will be brutal when CLE gets one of them after paying 17M or whatever it was for Houston's pick (Brock).

Got them Deshaun. Theee cheap deals are not on par
