It’s so easy to manipulate this cowardly nation. You just highlight certain stories to nudge them in a certain direction. That’s all it takes for these pussies to panic. Again, measles are not a problem. Mumps are not a problem. Its very rare for children to die or to have long lasting damage from either of those. About as rare as side effects from vaccine shots.

The side effects of the vaccine beats the curve from long term side effects of just one of the diseases. When you combine all three, there is no question that the benefits of the vaccine far outweighs the risk of the vaccine.

Don't you see whats going on here? There's two ways to become immune to these diseases. One way is to contract the disease and another is to get a vaccination shot. One natural the other unnatural. In rare circumstances you can die or suffer long term damage from both options at about the same rate. So it's a wash.

Sure i could take the risk of having my testicles swell up from getting the mumps, but id rather not. As i said above its not a wash, the vaccine beats the disease side effect with just the measles, let alone all three combined.

So the question becomes why is this being pushed so all the sudden. Why are you being so gaslight into allowing the govt to to force your 'free' neighbors to vaccinate their kids?

I already acknowledged in this thread that we arent a "free" country. Why should my neighbors kids be a health risk to all of those around them? We have almost eliminated these diseases in America, yet the anti-vaccine people want to stop giving their kids the shots because it isnt naturally. There are so many things in our live that arent "natural" but we benefit from them.

I'm not against something that is "unnatural" because its unnatural. There are plenty of things I utilize in my life that are unnatural. My point is that if people wanted to not take the shot there is a natural remedy that will protect them. I'm also not against the use of vaccines. I'm against forcing them. The problem isn't significant enough to compromise even more of our freedoms. So all of your comments about going to the hospital to give birth, or you rather not having your testicles swell is just dumb. I wasn't arguing that you shouldn't be able to take vaccines or that something is wrong if its unnatural.

There is no question from the data, that the long term side effects of potentially getting these diseases far out weigh the side effects of the vaccine. The medical cost of treating these diseases far out weigh the cost of the vaccine.


The issue people have here is that we have basically eliminated measles with the help of the vaccine. Now people dont want to vaccinate their kids because they buy in to the false science telling them how awful the vaccine is. It is false information,. We can look and see how effective the vaccine has been and we can see the health benefits of the vaccine. All of the data is there, however we have people that want to deny what the data and real life result say.

If you do not vaccinate your kids, and lets say they are now 10 years old. They come in contact with the disease and are infectious. Now you take that kid to the store and come into contact with my new born child infecting my child. That is the health risk, we have a vaccine that would have helped protect your child, you had the data that shows that the vaccine works, but your refusal to give the vaccine to your child now effects my child before they were old enough for me to get the vaccine. Your lack of responsibility has cause an unneeded health risk to my child.

Again, were talking about benign diseases here. A few days of symptoms and then you're good for life. Ill ask for the fifth time...why is there such an effort to gaslight this issue and declare a crisis when there isn't one Why this push to strip people of their liberties to address a non-crisis?

That's ridiculous. If your baby came into contact with the measles guess what? Your baby will be just fine. Your baby will also be immune for life. No health risk being caused here.

If you are concerned about your baby coming into contact with basic, benign diseases like the measles or maybe the cold virus, or maybe your own shadow....how about you just keep your baby inside until you get the vaccination? Why try to control and dictate everyone else's behavior in public places they pay for, thereby stripping them of their liberties, when you can just stay inside your own controlled, home environment free of every potential risk? Your baby is safe as well as my liberties.

You all (provax crowd) keep saying this, but it's simply not true. Independent review of MMR vaccine safety has deemed the research to be "inadequate." That was Cochrane's wording, while IOM admitted that ~150 potential side effects haven't even been studied! The reality is that we dont actually know the side effects because preclinical trials used about 1000 kids, no placebo, and lasted only ~40 days... a lot of post licensure research is either very flawed or just non existent.

This is an aside, can you link to a source saying smallpox is coming back? If people are currently getting smallpox, which was eradicated in the late 1970s, that is a major catastrophe.
