Gave it an 8. Solid comeback effort. Consistently funny, laughed out loud a bunch of times. Good to have him back.

I’m on my phone so I’m streaming it from Louis’ website. I got 5 minutes in and it froze, 8 minutes in and it froze, and then 11 minutes in and it froze. There is a 3 download limit. I emailed customer service and someone will get back to me within 24 hrs, ugh.

The first 11 minutes were really funny. Super bummed I can’t finish it right now.

Edit: it’s allowing me to download on a laptop now, woot woot.

Just bought it now. He's the only comic I could imagine doing that for. He looks a bit haggard, but the opening 5 minutes already made me laugh.

What he did was bad, but, like, small bad. Very, very far from unforgiveable, imo. If people can't have second chances in America anymore I'll be pretty bummed.

He's a funny guy, regardless of all the jizzing, so will give this a watch.

Solid special. I put it right there with Paper Tiger as my favorites of the last year.

Yeah the streaming feature sucks.

He’s on the decline . Nothing new and it’s the same joke told another way. I am a fan of his earlier stuff but this didn’t do it for me. Every comedian has a shelf life and he has reached his imo . The two years he has been away hasn’t done him any favors I imagine.

Bill Burr is the last man standing!

Did you actually see the special?

The king is back. This one blew Burr and Chappelle's latest out of the water. A legit 10/10 comedy special

This is a return to form for Louis. He doesn't talk about his kids, he covers classic Louis topics: religon, retards, his exile from comedy, his European girlfriend and her preferred method of taking one's temperature, the Holocaust... and yes, he addresses, IT.

Well worth the $9USD.

I was looking at your AV trying to figure out if that was the Obama phone lady, then my eyes found your username. Everything checks out.

Yes I did. Paid for and downloaded on your recommendation. And don’t chide me too much I just gave you 3 or so likes for your debate with the other poster !

It's just interesting to me. This was far better than Burr's last few specials.

Maybe he makes you feel uncomfortable.

Back in the day when I was living in NY I had Sirius and he always used to be on that Opie and Anthony show with Patrice O'Neal and Jim Norton. They were fucking hilarious. This was like 10 years ago but at points I was crying with laughter. Like no other radio show you would ever hear, even more raw than Stern.

Have loved Louis CK ever since, Norton is a bit shit when it come sto stand up TBH.

At a low point in my life several years ago, I spent countless hours listening to Patrice and Louie on O&A. I've heard every appearance they've made at least a couple times. Lots of douchey radio humor but when it was good, it was some of the funniest shit I've ever heard. Patrice was a brilliant comic and better than anyone off the cuff. He's probably my favorite out of anyone to ever do it.

Listening to those old episodes is also how I realized Louie is a pathological liar and seriously disturbed person. When the news broke, it didn't surprise me at all. I'm fairly confident he's done a lot of sketchy shit in his life. He was telling stories of pulling his dick out in front of strangers as a kid back then, impulsively jerking off at peep show booths, etc. That isn't enough to condemn him for on its own, but that combined with what we now know paints a pretty clear picture. I fully believe he made a habit of fucking with people's careers too.

He also had countless bizarre coincidental stories, like randomly ending up in an elevator alone with Trump or being right next to the president's motorcade. It's like he got so comfortable being loose with the truth onstage in storytelling that he realized he can just say anything and people will go with it as long as he makes them laugh. I don't believe a word out of his mouth.

I'll still check this special out and enjoy it if it's good. He's one of the most talented comics of all time. You can be a fan of someone's work and still acknowledge that they're a fairly shitty human being.

Only the first paragraph here was really in response to your post btw.

Yes. The story where he was a VIP performing at Trump's casino and ended up in the same elevator with Trump sure was unbelievable...

It's amazing how effective metoo was.
