I can think of a couple posters here who just got big, socially liberal, fiscally corporatist politiboner.![]()
I'll wait until the debates to write him off, but meh.
Yeah, so, here:
@Lead , feel free to merge this to your main thread... I just wasn't inspired enough to search it out.
Thanks Booker.
There already is.....he has gay rumor. It will be so easy for the repub to paint him as gay. What is he gonna do....have bunch of women come forward and say he had relationship with then. Also he has never had public relationship with a woman that can be brought up. A politician in his 40s with no history of women is gay
Lool no way. Even they are not dumb enough to take this down low guy. They will go for sake middle age white guyThen he definitely is going to be the Dem nominee. Unfortunately, a candidate's willingness to fight for economic equity matters less to many Dems than a candidate being "diverse".
Maybe you run that Ted Cruz fella again. People love him
Ted Cruz got the media push as the Trump rival in the republican primary because Hillary specifically requested he get extra air time, as he was an easy candidate for her to defeat in the general she felt
She was able to duck Kasich by main media ignoring his existence, and Trump kind bitch slapped Rubio out of the race. Not saying the R field was great, but blame CNN and NBC for Cruz's prevalence as the #2 guy in the primary
Hmm, I don't think this is accurate at all. Most persons left of center were actively hoping for Trump as the GOP nominee because (1) he was projected to be an easier win than anyone else in terms of polling, (2) he seemed to be considerably to the left of Cruz on many issues like healthcare, taxation, and foreign policy, and (3) he was seen as being likely to be far less effectual than Cruz if he won in terms of achieving policy.
If anything, I'm sure Clinton was secretly really hoping Trump would win. Kind of like how Claire McCaskill helped Todd Akin get the GOP primary in Missouri because he was batshit crazy and was the easiest candidate to beat (probably the only GOP candidate she could beat).
The media's coverage is commensurate with polling success. Reasonable Republicans tried their hardest, admirably so, to get Kasich's popularity up, but Republican voters just weren't interested. It has nothing to do with media bias, let alone corruption of the media by the Clinton campaign (yikes). Cruz was the #2 guy because he was one of the most popular candidates and he ran (by far) the best campaign of anyone, including Trump.
Also, I believe it was Christie who kneecapped Rubio. That's my all-time favorite primary moment.
There's nothing better than a good pedicure.Oh? You like pedicures?
There's nothing better than a good pedicure.
Well Hilary did request media push of Trump, Cruz, and Carson and as they were the ones she (correctly) figured she had the best chance against.
Yes, I understand the source is WikiLeaks. Yes, I understand and support the investigations around it. But the material inside the leaked/stolen emails was never accused of being untrue

The memo named Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson as wanted candidates. “We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to them seriously,” the memo noted.
Carson buffooned himself out early, but DNC got the desired result of their marching order to the media in a Trump vs Cruz headlined primary as it entered the primary voting season. Many Republican primariers voted Cruz as the anti Trump vote as he was the only one seen with a chance to unseat Trump after his early state big wins.
And was it Christie? I might be mistaking primary debates. I thought Trump's "Little Marco" shutdown was what turned him into someone hard to take seriously, a death sentence for a presidential candidate.
Share with me the Christie moment on Rubio for the laugh if you can.
Yeah, that all sounds about right.
Christie embarrassed Marco bad.
Had he not sold his soul to Trump and Trump's moron supporters, I'd still consider Christie as one of the best guys in the party in terms of capability and sincerity.

He seems phony to me. I'm not sure what it is, but it always seems like he's putting on an act.
he is beyond a horrible candidate. If nothing else, his "performance" during the Kavanaugh hearing provided enough video of him looking like a total jackass, that he will never be a good candidate to make it to the white house. He is a complete shill.
I have said in other threads that he is probably the worst candidate the Dems could put up right now.
