New Japanese fighting event "Ganryujima"

I think Japan's days are over.
Pride was its heyday, but that is no more.
Japan, in general, is going down fast - huge drop off in terms of population numbers. Economic/population crisis makes any sort of return of the greatness nothing more but a pipedream at this point.
There is no economic crisis in Japan. A falling population will mean everything becomes much more affordable and quality of life will greatly increase. The only problem will be the age of retirement will go up about 10 years, but thats just a reality all of humanity will have to come to terms with as we all live longer because of modern medicine.

I know they did the nye show but wasn't that a co-promotion with Inoki's promotion. Some mma fights some of their custom rules and weren't there even pro wrestling? Do ganryujima have any events planned?

Mr. X (Jimmy Ambruiz) hopefully fights again if Ganryujima returns against some Inoki disicple.

i disagree, Rizin is going steady, they have home stars, and have been putting on some great cards as of late.

Yes, that is true - in about 40 years from now.
I suppose I should have said Japan's days are over in the medium term.

Once Japan's population is renewed in terms of age - and when all of the elderly die off - things may bounce back up.
I do wonder, however - because you see, we are dealing with a lot more than just aging population and crappy economy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hikikomori

We are observing the exact same thing in Korea as well - where now, government is offering young people money just to start participating in society. Personally, I blame the technology - and I think it should perhaps be the most talked about topic of today - it's destroying the youth.

I dont think fully developed societies will ever again achieve the high ratios of young people compared to old people as we saw in the 20th century and before that. As long as we have modern medicine we are not going to see large proportions of people dying of basic ailments in their 60s, and when birthrates rebound above replacement level they wont be rebounding back to women having 6+ kids each simply because that kind of growth very quickly becomes unsustainable. Thats okay though, as we no longer need the majority of our workforce to be farming fields or other difficult labour not practical for older people.

Social isolation is a big problem for sure. Im hopeful about this being resolved though, simply because human nature now is the same as human nature in the past. Our focus has been temporarily distorted due to radical changes in technology, but in my opinion its only a matter of time before we are reoriented towards the lifestyles that we already know are healthy for us.

The continuous population growth propaganda is just capitalistic nonsense since there is a need to have continuous growth, while the actual quality of life goes to shit

Strong username to post correlation hehe. We are the canaries in the coalmine.

I watched a bunch of the early events, but haven't seen any of the later ones. I hope their rule set is still crazy. Also, I can't believe Jimmy Ambriz is still fighting.
