Never Watched One Episode of GOT

The first episode of GoT isn't good.

20+ character introductions, with little to no context as to what is taking place where.

I remember watching the first episode right after it aired and thought... 'Wait, the kid found those two people fucking... and they throw him out of the tower... why?'

The show has a learning curve, but its very very worth it.

Pretty much, I think your looking at 3-4 episodes mimimum until your in much of a position to judge whether you'll like it or not.

The first great moment in the show....

The Wire and Breaking Bad are definitely better than GoT.

GoT could have been the best but ultimately fell short with its horrible ending to the series.

Seriously GoT fell harder than Walking dead

Ultimately the series is S1 to S6 for me.

Never seen it. Never will.

I watched the first episode, last episode (and live reactions), and about an hour of complilations for important bits in between.

Still a waste of time.

Maybe that type of show isn't interesting to everyone. Do you watch or listen to everything that is mainstream?
I watch and listen to things I personally like. If something were called the biggest show in the history of tv, I'd at least check it out.

Season 5 of the Wire is far from universally loved.

It's too common an occurrence for me to get excited by that old word of mouth. Every other show nowadays is the "biggest show in the history of tv".

Iron Chef Japan is the best show ever, hands down.

It also had fake, WWE style drama lines, similar to a soap opera. A soap Opera, but with fierce cooking. GOT and The Wire, and BB are all basically soaps with action on the side.

I waited to binge the show 2 months before season 8 came out. Glad to I waited because had I been one of the people that invested years into the show and had that rushed half assed ending, I'd be pissed. Breaking Bad still the GOAT TV show for not losing momentum (actually gained it) and ending strong.
The only GOAT show is "The Shield".

Seasons 1-6 is amazing TV, no reason not to watch it. Then make up your own ending in your mind, or watch 7-8 for the cinematography and CGI.

In all of television history no show has tanked as bad in the final season as GOT. I still can't quite believe it was THAT bad. It's like they were trolling trying to make it bad on purpose.

TBH I'm pretty close to just putting all the people I've been arguing with about it on ignore. If you want to defend that objectively awful bullshit I'm probably fine never talking to you about anything ever again.

About as bad as TLJ fans. No. Sorry you'll settle for literally anything, but that shit sucked.

I watched three or four of the first episodes... bored to tears. I do not enjoy fantasy; knights and dragons does nothing for me. Felt like the episodes went on forever.

I do however like that they killed off characters that you thought was going to be the hero throughout the whole series. I didn't know about syndication and why nobody ever did anything even close to that (here's this new guy; he's dead jim.).

There are several "haven't seen GoT so I'm awesome" memes going around and it' s pretty annoying. Or maybe I'm just jealous because I never thought to brag about the TV shows and movies I haven't watched.
