How would that work? Couldn't you just find any other site on google and click the link?
Why would they do that? Internet is not an elastic good. Its closer to a utility. They can all just charge more for zhit packages and agree not to compete so no one has a choice for an ethical company. Then they will carve out regional niches like mafia cabals and everyone will pay more for zhit internet and theyll all make more money, despite the fairy-tale the business community and @Greoric tries to sell about corporations all being rational actors and whatnot.
Because what you just stated is fucking illegal.
So you're lecturing Americans on letting net neutrality die while Europeans don't even (and never have) had it?We have guidelines that protects it. "BEREC has completed the work started by the EU legislators and delivered what the public have been asking repeatedly for the past three years: robust and clear protection for net neutrality” added Estelle Massé, Senior Policy Analyst at Access Now. “The final guidelines are a true testament to BEREC’s hard work.”

And also again, derailment. We're talking about the U.S. not the EU.

This legit or created?
Yup thats the problem, for sure thats the problem.the problem is that the left has gone so batshit insane with all their fake propaganda, that genuine issues that should be protested like this will just fly by. i guess similar to 'the boy who cried wolf' story.
Holy crap lolNope. You'd be redirected to the ISP screen prompting you to pay.
Yeah, """the left""" alone is guilty of that. Stuff like pizzagate is not a distraction of course.the problem is that the left has gone so batshit insane with all their fake propaganda, that genuine issues that should be protested like this will just fly by. i guess similar to 'the boy who cried wolf' story.
Why would any company accept this? If basically every company loses absolutely massive numbers of customers from people not even accessing their sites, there's going to be a "whole country is pissed" scenario.Nope. You'd be redirected to the ISP screen prompting you to pay.
