Marty was a nice guy.

I don't even think he was a bad dude, but he definitely went out of his way to carry himself in a way that was off putting for most people. I mean most of the mma fanbase rejoiced hard when he got flatlined, even though it was by lame ass Leon.

Marty was a nice guy.

He was, but the ego/persona he put on as champ was cringe at times. Wanting to challenge Jan for the 205 title, that time he claimed there were no real contenders left at WW so he started calling out Canelo for a fight. He tried to copy some of Conors catch phrases too at media events.

Woodley is still one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

they all failed at their PR campaigns:
-Tyron hit the wrong timing unable to keep the belt until 2020 when BLM peaked

-Snoozman should've invested his cringe wanna-be-LLcoolJ energy into collaboration with 14y.o. minded audience

-Leon is a really hard case. A truly one of the hardest NPCs in sports world as a whole. Even his cinematic win over llCoolJuiceman and Colby's heat didn't bring any interest to him. At this point, Leon should've gone all-in and say smth like: "IF YOU PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT ME IMA KILL MASELF". Maybe (very low chance but still) people would feel pity and follow him to see what happens next since its pretty believable.

-Bumlal is an NPC as well but in his case he is just lazy. Behind him a potential 1 billion of brainwashed crowd and only thing he needs to do is to use some trigger words. "Free Palestine", "Stop war in Gaza", whatever.
