Going to be really tough. His weight is stacked for Olympic Trials. He’s got Gilman, Fix, Gross, Arujau, Suriano, Tomasello, and Ramos in his weight class—possibly RBY. Advantage to whomever medals in Belgrade.

Lee is going to have to adapt quickly, which I think he can. I saw something the other day that made me laugh—that Lee is above average on his feet and wouldn’t adapt well to freestyle. I can’t even imagine what that guy can do on top when he actually gets to lock hands.
I was pondering that as well (regarding locked hands). But, I'm concerned that he won't be given enough time by the refs to get it done. It's so subjective as to the time a ref gives before standing the wrestlers up.

Watching the match again this morning. It so much reminded me of Helen's win over Yoshida.

Everyone was training to get a medal, but Helen was training specifically for Yoshida. She knew no matter the draw for the tournament, they would see each other.

Listening to his post match interview, Ramos was specifically training for Lee, knowing at some point during the three days they would see each other.

This was so.much more than "I wrestled my match" it was "I trained to beat this specific opponent'.

Yeah, he hasn’t looked great in his other matches, and I don’t think he gets past Glory—a Larry Owings without the title.

I was rooting hard against him because he was the one guy I didn’t want to see Lee wrestle again.

Aaron Brooks wins his 3rd and takes a hot dump on Muslims.

Missed it. Had to mow the lawn before the rain starts.

What did he say?
He’s super religious and always praises Jesus after his wins. He started thanking Jesus, saying he was the only lord and savior, not any false prophets like Muhammad—something like that.

He wasn’t trying to be a dick or anything. I just thought it was funny.

Vito was so impressive. I hadn't watched RBY wrestle before, but judging by the way many people were speaking about him, he was going to dominate Arujau.

Nah, he’s good, but not that good. Vito is one of the best freestyle wrestlers in the country at his weight. RBY was dominant head-to-head over guys like DeSanto and Fix, but the matches were usually close.

Just looked it up because I thought they’d
wrestled before—they went hear-to-head twice at the 2018 U23 World Team Trials, and Vito teched him both times.

2 years in a row with no champs from Iowa. They need to shake some things up. Can’t let this recruiting class go to waste.

I know there is no Iowa guy in this match, but has Brands tossed in the challenge brick yet?
