I was pondering that as well (regarding locked hands). But, I'm concerned that he won't be given enough time by the refs to get it done. It's so subjective as to the time a ref gives before standing the wrestlers up.Going to be really tough. His weight is stacked for Olympic Trials. He’s got Gilman, Fix, Gross, Arujau, Suriano, Tomasello, and Ramos in his weight class—possibly RBY. Advantage to whomever medals in Belgrade.
Lee is going to have to adapt quickly, which I think he can. I saw something the other day that made me laugh—that Lee is above average on his feet and wouldn’t adapt well to freestyle. I can’t even imagine what that guy can do on top when he actually gets to lock hands.
Watching the match again this morning. It so much reminded me of Helen's win over Yoshida.
Everyone was training to get a medal, but Helen was training specifically for Yoshida. She knew no matter the draw for the tournament, they would see each other.
Listening to his post match interview, Ramos was specifically training for Lee, knowing at some point during the three days they would see each other.
This was so.much more than "I wrestled my match" it was "I trained to beat this specific opponent'.
