Shane Griffith at 165 would be my #2 on the list. He’s lost to Wick 3 times this season and will have to go through Hamiti in the quarters just to get to him in the semis.

WOW. Last second takedown to upset Wick. Glad to be wrong here. It’s tough to root against Griffith after what he did last year.

Kemerer hanging in there with an avenged win over Mikey Labriola. I’m surprised he’s done as well as he has with his shoulder.

some mid major love.
Oregon State and North Carolina had great tournaments. Milner repeated as an AA for App State. It would have been cool to see the Citadel punch their 157 through, he lost a crazy match. Several other mid majors had surprisingly good tournaments as well.

Is UNC considered a mid major? I get they are not a powerhouse program but they are in the ACC. Is the ACC considered a mid major in wrestling? In basketball they are not.

Dr. Kemerer sneaks into a 3rd place rematch against Hillary, showing that the Hawkeyes don’t completely suck in OT.

Marinelli got wrecked by Wick. Rough draw, but another disappointing tournament from The Bull. Cassioppi in 7th/8th is even worse.

Trent Hidlay had a fun match. Got a gift from the refs to stay alive but still couldn’t pull it off.

Yoo just seen Mekhi’s semis win that shit was diiiiirtyyy

It’s so funny watching this tournament, I swear some of the dudes in there 40s for as long as they’ve been eligible lmao
Starocci vs Lewis is a great final.

I think The brands brothers begged Warners hs to help get his head straight this weekend lol

If the “8 Against Hate” t-shirt Glory was wearing has anything to do with allowing men swimming against women, I’m glad Suriano stalled his way to a win.
Lolol .. even tho the shirt sucks... I wanted Glory to win.

I have two family friends who went to Oklahoma State, hope Fix wins here.

I picked Fix, so I’m going with him primarily for the self-satisfaction of being correct.

Fix still has a couple more years left. My math may be off, but I think he’ll be 32 when his senior year rolls around with plenty more experience under his belt.

On a related note, has there ever been a 4x finalist who didn’t win a single national title?
