I was back on forth on Snyder/Cox and I agree on the feeling about Zahid. On a side not did you see Hall get handled by Jackson and Foster at the qualifier? He so undersized at 86.

Yup, but I also saw him handle Martin in Europe.

I'll never believe he can;t make 74kg. He looked undersized at 174 in college.

I hate to sound like an asshole, but I wonder if he subconciously did it on purpose because he knew Snyder was going to beat him. Cox has been cutting weight for most of his life, how can he miss it on a higher weight? In his last two showings he did not look the same, and I heard he had a pretty bad Covid. I did not understand why everyone was counting Snyder out, the guy had a couple of losses from the best guys in the world, and people were writing him off.

Ehhh if that's the case why even move up? Go down to 86kg and miss weight lol

Willie and others are saying he made weight minutes after the deadline

This is complete speculation on my part, and I will be the first to admit that I could be wrong. However he has been gunning for Snyder for a while, he even moved to Ohio to train under Tervel Dlagnev, I have heard that he was hospitalized with Covid, and he had to be put on Oxygen, and he looked off the last two times I saw him wrestle.
 
@Te Huna Matata I knew a kid in HS that lost a state medal for missing weight in Hershey.

He made weight and secured 6th place on the first day makin the Semis.

His coaches got him to the weigh in late on day 2.

I don't know if their personal scale was light or if hey didn't have one but is was so crazy to me at the time.

No 6th place medal given.

Both my GF and I had covid. She spent 6 days in the hospital and is still not back to normal from a respiratory stand point and we got it the weekend after Thanksgiving. Even with him being an elite athlete, it's going to have some lingering effects.

I totally agree!
 
The more I think about it, the more I feel that this is the deepest field USA has had. I really think we have medal contenders at every weight. 57 has an outside shot at bronze and 65 is so deep that it'll be tough no matter what. In the other 4 weights, I think we have strong shots at putting people in the finals if not taking the whole thing, especially if Gable takes 125.

That Bo Nickal chin whip was NASTY. I thought he was dead to rights. Awesome match with a bunch of twists and turns. Taylor probably going to spank him though
