Some Iranian just teched Bo in the first and pinned Snyder while he was beating Snyder 8-0.

This has me hoping more and more that Cox goes 97kg

The Iranian was a world bronze in 14 then pissed a hole in a cup and was banned from 16 to 18. Just getting back in the swing of things. But yeah, he's a monster.

Did anyone catch Nickal v. Yergali (KAZ)? One of the best FS matches I've seen in a long time. Crazy amount of action (lot of great upper body stuff from Yergali) and came down to the last few seconds.

Dake might unseat Burroughs, he looked incredible today. He looks slim and like he's handling the weight cut well.

Dake looked good, but I still think Burroughs beats him.

Sidakov vs. Dake is interesting though, I think Sidakov would win a close match, same with Chamizo.

US generally had a great tournament. Only thing concerning is how Snyder got manhandled.

Been on that train for years. It's his spot to lose.

It's the "with ease" where I'm changing a bit.

After his Freshman campaign I thought he was the dude.

Last year there was some regression driven by...I'm guessing the mono rumors were true.

Now I'd be shocked if he doesn't win the spot.

I know the transitive property isn't always applicable in the sport but he kind of smashed Tomasello. He did that in a way I haven't seen Gilman or Fix do.

Damn, again Burroughs and Gilman are both no-shows at the Yarygin Gran Prix/

I don't think Burroughs has ever done the Yarygin. Kinda surprising.
I remember last year there was a rumor (which - of course - turned out to be false) that Burroughs was entering the Yarygin at 79kg which had me compelled.

I love this Gran Prix, it is so stacked at every weight (obviously the Olympic weights are ridiculously stacked this year), but Burroughs probably would have won gold in 2017-before. Now we have so many good and young guys who could easily medal at the worlds. 65kg is also crazy right now, but Rashidov won't be competing sadly - although he will most likely have a wrestle-off with the winner of the Yarygin.

I don't really remember JB ever doing foreign events. He won World's on his first attempt and never really did other events besides Beat The Streets and a couple of other one offs
