Kollin Moore just sealed it!! Penn State goes down.. and will probably win it next week

The seeding for 184 will be really interesting from 2-8

I think it will go like this
1.Gabe Dean
2.Bo Nickal
3.Sammy Brooks
4.Nolan Boyd
5.Myles Martin
6.TJ Dudley
7.Nate Jackson
8.???

Zavatsky has to be somewhere in the 4-7 range.

Saw this gem on themat from a Iowa fan. I got a kick out of this.

A great sign for my confidence? Kemerer just got in very deep on a shot, and I was just very excited that he didn't get put on his back. Because Nolf.

My breakdown of 184 top 8 seeds and rationale. Asterisk next to opponent’s name indicates bonus point outcome.

1. Gabe Dean
Record – 30-0
Key Wins – Everyone
Key Losses – No one
Tournaments – EIWA Champ, Southern Scuffle Champ, Cliff Keen Champ, NYS Collegiate Champ

2. Bo Nickal
Record – 21-1
Key Wins – Dudley 2x, Boyd*, Brooks*, Martin
Key Losses – Martin
Tournaments – Keystone Classic Champ, B1G 3rd Place

3. Sammy Brooks
Record – 24-2
Key Wins – Martin x2 (1*), Jackson x2, Boyd*
Key Losses – Nickal*, Jackson
Tournaments – B1G Champ, Midlands 3rd Place

4. Zach Zavatsky
Record – 24-2
Key Wins – Martin
Key Losses – Macciavello, Dean*
Tournaments – Cliff Kean Runner-Up, ACC Champ

5. Nolan Boyd
Record – 21-4
Key Wins – None
Key Losses – Nickal*, Brooks*, Dean 2x (1*)
Tournaments – Big 12 Champ, Southern Scuffle Runner-Up

6. Myles Martin
Record – 26-7
Key Wins – Nickal, Dudley x2
Key Losses – Nickal, Brooks x2 (1*), Dechow, Zavatsky
Tournaments – B1G Runner-Up, Cliff Kean 3rd Place, Journeyman Classic Champ, Midlands 8th Place

7. TJ Dudley
Record – 25-4
Key Wins – Dechow, Jackson
Key Losses – Nickal x2, Martin x2
Tournaments – B1G 4th Place, Midlands Champ, Daktronics Champ, Harold Nichols Champ

8. Nate Jackson
Record – 30-3
Key Wins – Brooks
Key Losses – Brooks x2, Dudley
Tournaments – B1G 6th Place, Midlands 4th, Navy Classic Champ

Dechow comes in at 9 due to 2 "bad" losses. Martin can be higher (I can justify him as high as 4th) but he has 7 losses on the season which hurt him in my opinion. Dudley over Jackson due to a H2H win plus a higher finish at the B1Gs. 4, 5, and 6 are interchangable. I gave nods to better overall records. Boyd behind ZZ Top by virtue of a good win over Martin. Boyd over Martin by virtue of a better record with all high level losses.

So did anyone else catch that spicy x-gwad reversal Cottrell hit for the go ahead points at the Big 12s today?

With the exception of #8 and #9 seed, I was able to predict 184!

In other news, I just received my Finals ticket! Will be front row and hopefully I will be on ESPN!

Well.. the seeding committee somehow didn't lay as big of a turd as normal.. and the match-ups still suck

Hall has Epperly in the quarters and if he gets through that, Valencia in the semis. That will be fun.

I see top 3 for him. I think a rematch v Bo goes on his favor. Epperly is definitely a big hurdle but if he wins, I think he gives Valencia one hell of a match. Size is and has been my concern for him all season though.

I just see size plus multiple big stake matches making him not necessarily under-performing but also not overachieving, and his struggles with an undeniably rusty Bo's size and strength have me concerned about someone like Epperly. I have Bo winning it.. but that's just me being a homer. I don't like Valencia, not sure why honestly

I can't stand Anthony but Zahid is okay. I'm still not convinced he'll run the table either.

Im not convinced either. The way these last few weeks have gone I wouldn't be surprised if Zahid, Realbuto, Bo, Hall or Epperly wins. It seems like they can all cannibalize each other. The one thing Zahid has that no one else in that weight has is a time and again proven money shot in that sweep single.

I'm just starting to work on brackets and 125 is an immediate cluster fuck. Two years in a row Dance has gotten hosed with his draw as a 2 seed.

So here's my first bold prediction for the tourney:

Freddie Rodriguez makes the finals against Gilman! *

He will probably see Lizak on Friday morning and it seems like the cut is starting to really beat Lizak down. This will be day two of making weight and he will have had a tough go against Terao the night before. I think FRod gets the upset and then the bottom side of the bracket will probably be a wreck...Dance isn't going to navigate that draw so I think Freddie will see Youtsey or Mueller in the semi and I think he can win either of those.

*assuming Suriano can't walk.

I've been watching film on some people in preparation for nationals

I don't think Kemmerer can beat Nolf... but holy fuck he has amazing natural hips, you can't teach it and its not length either

Ok.. I've been filling out brackets and decided to have fun this year rather than analyze every pick. I thoroughly expect this to totally blow up
