Lmao I was gonna tag the Gunt but I didn't want to mess with his facebook suggested friends feed

One of the best dunkers ever (Gordon) doesn't have a dunk contest win. Something wrong here.
i wish he won at least one contest, he deserved it, especially against lavine. some of the best dunks ever.
a bit tragic, but jr's dunks were beastly too. the judging was indeed inconsistent.

On the last dunk Wad got in their judges huddle and said "Let's make this one a tie!" and everyone agreed and then when it came time to show the scores he dropped his down a point so that Jones Jr would win.

Although jr’s dunks were all great, they were all very similar.

And then Candace and Wakanda proceeded to give DJJ a 9

While Candace gave Gordy a 10 after giving DJJ a 9. So Candace obviously wasn't on board with the tie plan from the beginning. BOTH Pippen and Wad (only two actual NBA players) gave Gordy a 9 (after seeing the Candace/Wakanda 9 scores for DJJ)

People act like Wad rigged the whole thing when 60% of judges gave differing scores to DJJ/Gordy and 60% of judges thought Gordy's dunk was a 9. Meanwhile Candace was the only judge who thought Gordy's dunk was superior to DJJ's, two judges thought they were equal, two judges thought DJJ >>>

Simmons form is pretty terrible
Yeah but including this season, LeBrick is a sub-70% FT shaater 3 of the last 4 seasons. Ben is 63% this season, his 3x season of significant improvement since coming into the league while LeBrick has been regressing throughout his career

They shouldnt have trusted a known cheater.

1) Wad played for the cHeat

2) Cheated on his wife (LA 2.5) and got another girl pregnant

3)

Well if everyone went with a 10, it wouldn't have been a tie now would it bud?

Um what? The tie went out the window when Candace decided she was gonna give DJJ a 9 and then Gordy a 10

Not sure why TNT is force feeding us Wade. He isn't funny, articulate, or interesting in any way on air. Great baller, and seems to be a great person (not father) but he adds nothing to the panel and was only slightly more qualified than common to judge a dunk contest

Standing Reach
  • 9'2.5" = Dwight Howard
  • 8'9" = Aaron Gordon
  • 8'9"(?) = Derrick Jones Jr. (most likely 8'8.75"- 8'10" extrapolated from his height and wingspan)
  • 8'0" = Pat Connaughton*
His Draft.net profile notes that in Chicago his standing reach was measured at 8'4", and this figure appears more likely given his height and wingspan measurements

Pretty nuts when you realize Pat was giving up 5"-9" before even taking off the floor against those guys.

that is pretty small

I think, IIRC, that the shorter Steve Francis had a 8'5" standing reach in his oft forgotten amazing performance losing to Vince Carter
