NBA NBA Thread: Gamble Gate

Don't see the big deal of this. So people don't win some overrated awards that are half the time gimmicky anyways because they don't play enough.

Small violin stuff from me.
Its harder to play 82 games a season now. My issue is that it deals with how much money guys can get paid. The guys listed have contracts. Others dont. Luka got fucked by this.

If they used a more accurate photo, they may have gotten it right.

Hawks to Celebrate Atlanta's Iconic Cultural Institution ‘Magic City’ During the Team's “Magic City Monday” Game Against the Orlando Magic on Monday, March 16

Special Live Recording of Hawks AF Podcast with Jami Gertz, T.I. Performance, Magic City Kitchen’s ‘World Famous’ Wings, and Co-Branded Limited-Edition Hoodie Highlight the Evening’s Festivities

The Atlanta Hawks today announced a special one-night collaboration to celebrate the city’s iconic cultural institution Magic City during the team’s home game against Orlando on Monday, March 16. As part of this celebration, the Hawks have worked with Magic City to bring the ‘best of’ the phenomena for fans in attendance at the award-winning State Farm Arena.

The Hawks, who were recognized last season as the NBA’s best overall game entertainment, have tapped legendary rapper and Atlanta’s own T.I. to perform some of his well-known tracks at halftime presented by Jack Daniels. The organization has also teamed up with ‘the coolest DJ in the world’, DJ Esco, who also serves as the landmark’s resident DJ on Mondays, to curate pregame music.

Prior to the game, the Hawks’ Principal Owner, filmmaker, and actor Jami Gertz will present a special introduction of the Hawks AF Podcast. Last year, Magic City celebrated 40 years with a five-part STARZ docuseries, ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy’ produced by Gertz alongside GRAMMY® Award-winning music mogul and Atlanta native Jermaine Dupri. The series explores the history, cultural impact, and influence of the Atlanta landmark and features interviews with Big Boi, Killer Mike, T.I. and others and reveals its pivotal role in hip-hop and Black culture. Those interested in watching the docuseries can click here.

“This collaboration and theme night is very meaningful to me after all the work that we did to put together ’Magic City: An American Fantasy’,” said Jami Gertz. “The iconic Atlanta institution has made such an incredible impact on our city and its unique culture.”

The Hawks are inviting fans to enter the arena early for a special live recording of the Hawks AF Podcast. The show will feature a conversation about the documentary and the impact of the club on Atlanta music, sports, and culture and feature Magic City founder Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney and legendary rapper and King of the South T.I. in a conversation hosted by comedian, actor, host, rapper, and Atlanta’s own D.C. Young Fly.

Magic City Kitchen will serve two versions of their ‘world famous’ lemon pepper wings: Louwill Lemon Pepper BBQ and traditional Lemon Pepper. Fans interested in purchasing wings can visit Sections 114, 120, and 211. Two of State Farm Arena’s all-inclusive premium experiences, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino’s Club and the Players Club, will have both sets of wings available as an option, while supplies last.
“From the food to the music and the exclusive merchandise, we are excited to team up with Magic City to create an authentic, True to Atlanta-inspired game experience,” said Hawks Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Proctor.

As part of this collaboration, the Hawks Shop has teamed up with Magic City to release a limited-edition Peachtree-themed hoodie. Across the front in bold text are the words ‘MAGIC CITY’ in peach and on the sleeves are the Hawks official logo and the Peach logo. This new retail item will be available only at the Hawks Shop in State Farm Arena and online at HawksShop.com starting on Monday, March 16.
“We doin’ this one for the city... Magic City,” said T.I.

Atlanta’s own T.I. first performed at halftime for the Hawks in 2012 and has remained a fixture at the award-winning State Farm Arena. Aside from his contributions in entertainment including 11 hit albums, multiple Grammy® Awards, Billboard BET, and American Music Awards, countless blockbuster movies and top-rated television shows including ATL, VH-1’s T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, American Gangster, and Marvel’s Antman, to name a few, Tip “T.I.” Harris has made an indelible mark on the world of business. T.I. is set to release his 12th studio album, ‘Kill The King’ later this year.

Iconic cultural institution.
<{ugh}>

LOL The one time that SGA doesn't get a call for light contact, he rages out and gets teched up.

Jokic almost got charged with a hate crime for trying to kill Jaylin Williams. Instead SGay shot two free throws.

Edit: they are so used to getting the friendly-rigged and nobody being allowed around their auras that they're trying to injure the best baller in the world on off ball non-basketball plays, simply for playing defense. Then get actually surprised that a clear flagrant two is called. Talk about being spoiled

Fraud team that gets the special treatment, basically if Shaq was a team lol

TLDR - this is why we kneel.

lol at the media loser cucks piling on Luka..

Luka has largely been really good since all star break, he’s been high scoring and efficient, he’s doing his part. His defence had been ok too. They’re acting like hes the reason the lakers suck.. idiots.

The lakers were a play in team before he came there.. even with Bron, AD and Reeves they were a play in team and thats a strong top 3.

The roster is top heavy and packed with un athletic white boys and average skill level players. People itt were right Pelinka sucks, get him outta here.
