Lmao @ bringing in voting credentials

Ant is better at guarding other guards, something Giannis can't do. Giannis can only switch and delay he cant stop elite guards. If you want to bring up rim protecting and guarding bigs then only big guys will be the best two ways in your book.

Bam is a better defender than Giannis and its not close. Bam and Alex Sarr (used to be AD) are two bigs who have the footspeed to defend 1-5. Giannis can't do that. Bam is probably the most underrated player in the the league. Shit, Jimmy Butler was an elite 2 way player too and he whipped Vaginnis sorry ass. Bam is also underutilized as an offensive option too.

Anthony Davis when healthy was a better 2 way than Vaginnis too. He could do everything defensively and casually put up 30 points a night.

Vaginnis is a great player and has a great motor. You can argue he's a more consistent and as a result "better" player overall. The problem is other guys are right there with him and if they were allowed to just PnR like Karl Malone they'd put up more numbers too. We pretend that he's more successful than other bigs when he just isnt. It's really weird how getting bounced in the playoffs vs shit teams is more impressive for Giannis image than it is for a guy like AD losing to Joker and the Nuggets.

I understand injuries and all that, but I feel like people dont understand how good some of these other bigs are.

As a defensive asset Giannis has been more valuable over all (Edwards). He can’t always take elite guards, but as a big man hes about as close as you get to guarding one through fine.

Re Bam, Giannis is much better offensively, so he’d take the better two way argument pretty easily.

AD hasnt been consistently healthy or impactful for a while. If he had been then yeah maybe.. but AD hasnt been whiffing top 5 convos last few years.

Giannis got bounced in the play offs recently because he was injured and had a really shitty roster. Put him on a team like the Thunder or the nuggets, even last years pacers team.. they’re a contender.

I'm not sure Wemby does have next. In his short 2.5 season career he's already missed about 60 games. And that's while he's young. We'll see how it plays out but I'm not convinced he isn't an injury waiting to happen every time he takes the court.

Fair call.

I feel like he’ll be able to string at least a couple of seasons together where hes the best two way player though..

Yeah, surround any dominant player with a loaded roster and they're a contender. The Bucks have gotten out of the first round ONCE since winning a championship. It's primarily on Giannis. It's not like they're close either they're getting their asses beat.

For Bam Adebayo, the point is he is underutilized because of the system they run. Not because he can't. Giannis plays one way, roll man get the ball, run at basket. He's not a prolific finisher with a huge array of moves. He;s gotten better with awareness over the years with his court vision but his finishing is the same song and dance its always been. It worked for a bit and then it didnt. That's why the bucks are stagnant.

For sure, he's a freak. His height and playstyle though seems like bad shit could happen, especially during a rougher more defense oriented playoff run. We'll see though, maybe he will surprise me and put together a bunch of 70 game seasons where he doesn't miss very much.

Giannis’s facilitation game has improved a lot, it’s added another layer to his offensive threat. He’s shooting 65% this year, and he commits low turn overs considering his usage.

Yeah his game is basic, but it’s effective. Thats said hes really dependent on athleticism, so yeah hes only really got 2-3 more good years.

The bucks really fucked up when they rejigged the team and fired buldenhoser, gave up all their assets, it’s been a very incomplete roster and as we know, all the winning teams these days need to be strong 4 through 7.

I think getting rid of Bud was the right move, he was gonna be bounced the year before. That's when the OG trade rumors came about. Bud sucked dick and Giannis was tired of it. Then after they won the Championship people still weren't sure about him.

They fucked up getting rid of Adrian Griffin and retooling. That was also Giannis' call though too. The team could have worked of Dame wasn't such a brittle can. It was still retarded to go that far with Lillard regardless. They should have just traded Giannis to the Mavs so he can Lucuck could win a title.

I ain't gonna lie, that's a pretty solid double leg for a basketball player. Probably would have F'ed Beef Stew up on the playground.
