NBA NBA Thread: Gamble Gate

Really happy with what my Nuggies have been able to do. I'm curious to see how MPJ performs on a team without the Jokic effect. If friendly-rigged and MPJ didn't basically sell every playoffs Nuggies might have 2 rings already, and another finals appearance on top of it past 3 years.

Maybe I'm a fool, but I don't get a Saric for Valencunas trade. That's a total steal for Denver. Nuggets have never been able to field a back up center that cold remotely hold the fort when he sits, whether it was old-ass Cousins, McGee, Jordan, or Thomas Bryant. I think Valencunas can. Getting Bruce Brown back, even if he's not as good as he was, is at least respectable bench depth.

And dropping Mike Malone was a great move at the end of the season last year.

I think the friendly-rigged might have to go into overdrive to stop my Nuggies. Jokic-rules might have to go into overdrive.

Anyhow, I think gambling odds should be shooting Denver into the top 3, though I would never bet on them again while Adam Silver is still the Commissioner.

I think this will make the Bucks better.

Yeah waiving old injured Dame isnt that surprising.

More surprising part seems to be Pacers letting Myles Turner go at that price. His intangibles / impact on the game was huge, losing him is a big downgrade for the pacers.

Bucks have some scoring holes to fill though.

I can't believe what the Nuggets were able to pull off while the Timberwolves and Lakers really said "fuck it lets run it back with a subpar squad"

Myles Turner is not only better than Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert, he's cheaper too. I just don't understand it. The Nuggets didn't give out any good offers. It's like GM's aren't even trying.

Not really sure which fans are more depressed currently, the Heat or the Lakers? I've seen nothing but sadness from both fan bases.

Lakers wanting to build for the future but they must have forgot they have a 26 year old super star on their roster. Wonder if Pelinka has left Disneyland yet.
