Al Horford resurrected new version is like a Robert Horry/Boris Diaw type guy you have to have.
Yeah. All the Celtics guys worked really hard in their 3pt shooting and play tough D. There’s only one player who can’t hit an open three consistently, and that’s Robert Williams. And as we saw last night he brings plenty enough to the table to warrant a spot in the lineup.Looney was 1-4 and had 4 points in the game. The dirty truth is that when the Warriors play Draymond and Looney they have two guys on the court that are not a scoring threat and the Celtics exploit this sort of thing and lock down the other 3 guys. Even if they only play them one at a time, they still have a guy on the court that is relegated to "let him shoot" status. The Celtics on the other hand have a ton of shooters.
The Warriors could go all small ball, high octane offense but then they give up a considerable amount of size and that hurts them. I honestly think they are in deep trouble unless this young Celtics team just melts down and chokes. Its a bad matchup for the Warriors. Going into it I thought the Warriors would buzz saw right through them, because lets be honest, Kerr is 21-3 in Game 1's. The team that wins Game 1 wins the series 70% of the time.

I saw a statistic that Al Horford is the only player to shoot about 50% from the field and 45% from three in the playoffs this year. No he’s not as good a shooter as curry, and many of the warriors. But when he’s open he’s SOOOO consistent.
I know the thing to point at is “ok the role players on the Celtics over performed”. I think they were efficient. I don’t think they over performed. Warriors clamped on JT and brown and challenged everyone else to make their shots. Well. They are a damn good shooting team. If they are being given the open looks they were last night they will keep shooting very well.
The dubs have to make a choice. Either play with less help D on the stars, and force Tatum and brown to make some shots, or, keep sagging off and hope smart/horford/the bench are inconsistent.
But I’m telling you man. They won’t be until the dubs change the scheme. Horford open on the three line, white open, Williams open, theis. These guys will fuck you up if you let them take those shots uncontested.
The problems for the warriors were on both sides of the ball. The wild thing is I still think the warriors actually have the single best player in curry. But the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th I would rate as all Celtics players. Tatum, brown, horford, and smart in that order.
So someone has to step up and interject themselves from the warriors.

Its kind of an ironic role reversal with Curry being the best player on the floor but the Celtics having the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, best etc. This is what happened to my Mavs in the Conference Finals where Luka was probably the best player on the floor but the Warriors have the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, best players. I don't disagree with anything you posted, I just hope the Celtics youth doesn't hurt them if things get tight down the stretch, Games 5,6,7.
the only thing that’s gonna hurt anyone is Gaymond literally being on the warriors roster and chef scoring 2 points in the 4th quarter lmao.
They basically scheduled teams every other day until the finals and now these 7 games are going to take over three weeks. Pretty dumb. How is game 2 not until Sunday? Lmfao cool scheduling nba.

I can understand last weekend because of memorial day, but jeeessuuus NBA, why?not having a game on Saturday is ridiculous

I don’t love the timing. That being said I’d rather watch guys who are well rested. More than a few occasions during c’s vs bucks/heat where you could tell everyone was hurtingnot having a game on Saturday is ridiculous

Yeah agreed. I like it, everybody gets time to recover. This 3 weeks shit is stupid , but unless one of these teams is unlucky enough to have a Freak accident and lose a key guy, this will give people an accurate answer of who the actual better team is , or which coaching staff does the best work over a 3 day period to fix a weakness or exploit one.
