I was listening to Joe rogan's podcast on my way back from work. Joe had Tim Kennedy as a guest and holy shit, he shared some fascinating stories. I really recommend you listening to it by yourself. But the one I liked is, after ww2 ended, Nazi officials who managed to escaped from Germany, built the colony and continued whatever the experiments they had been doing on jews, using local children as the subjects. Chile government which was under a dictatorship at that time, not surprisingly, let this slide because Nazis paid a lot of money for the facilities and helped them eliminate their political enemies.

For the purpose of his show "Hunting Hitler" , Tim and his crew disguised themselves as tourist channel staffs and went over to the place to do an investigation on this. Now, I don't necessarily think Hitler didn't killed himself back in berlin, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if he didn't and lived rest of his life alongside some nice south american beach.
