I don't know what year it is, looks to be from the late 90's or ealy 00's. They have plenty of other videos from that tournament of YouTube and most of the "fighters" are technically awful, roided up hot heads

The military is not going to provide anything but basic techniques that can quickly be learned by those with no experience. And even then they will probably recall little of what they were taught if the situation presented. I'm always surprised when those outside the military think they are providing some elite hand to hand combat skills, even in special operations units. There is very little focus for that in training because that is not the primary objective of the job. Anyone in the military that is proficient in physical combat became that way through training on their own.

That stance from the marine... This is what you would expect from people that have no practical application of what they think they are capable of. Way too many folks with this misconception both inside and outside the military.
