Naturopathy

Yes, I’ve been to a naturopath before. The experience was quite different from a regular doctor’s visit—more time spent discussing overall lifestyle, diet, and long-term health goals. They tend to focus on natural remedies and prevention, which can be helpful depending on what you're looking for. That said, results can vary a lot depending on the practitioner, so it's worth checking their credentials and making sure they’re licensed if your state requires it. If you have a specific condition, it’s a good idea to use naturopathy as a complement to conventional care, not a replacement.
what's wrong with you

you can't ask people that!
I see now that sentence could have been taken two ways

in a caring, interested way, like 'are you OK, what could be the problem? can we help'

or in the actual way I meant, like ' IT'S A 7 YEAR OLD THREAD YOU SOFT CUNT, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU'

the last question is okay to ask.

Most people can just skip that and Google how to live healthy. Spoiler.... Eat more green things, eat less processed things, drink mostly water, exercise, sleep and stop jerking off so much.

Get a physical from a real doctor once a year and get your teeth cleaned twice a year.

When issues come up, consult an actual medical doctor.

Yes, I know it's an old thread.

thank you for your suggestion

Um no but in terms of alternative medicine I would definitely recommend Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I have researched Natural cures on my own. I have found a few successes after dozens of failures.
Diet needs to be low in processed foods and sugars. Add greens, nuts, healthy fats. Keep carbs to ones from natural foods. Supplement with B and D.

Things I add daily for the health benefits--including, liver and kidney, heart, BP, digestion, blood sugar, and cholesterol.

Cinnamon (great natural way to lower A1c Blood Sugar, natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant rich).
Green Tea (too many benefits to list).
Detox Tea with Dandelion the day after binge drinking.
Milk Thistle (liver)
Fish Oil (lowers bad cholesterol but keeps good up)
D Vitamins--helps you absorb all other nutrients. Most people low in it.
B Vitamins-Brian, energy, blood, DNA repair.
Walnuts and Almonds--Healthy Fats, Omegas, heart healthy, anti-inflammatory.
Greens-High in Fiber, antioxidant and vitamin dense.

When you are getting sick with a cold or stomach--Oil of Oregano. It's nasty strong. natures antibiotic.

Been considering a visit to a local naturopath.

Anyone have any experience with this?
You're trying to impress a hippie chick or what?

If you have actual health problems naturopathy does not work 99,9% of the time.

The doctors I've dealt with are all pretty knowledgeable and have been correct in every assessment they've ever made in regards to my health or any loved one's condition.

They were also good at telling me when they weren't sure of something and that the human body and all of its components and interactions is so complex that sometimes they are unable to give answers right away or may not have an answer down the line.

My point is I trust Western doctors much more than any alternative medicine quack out there as you point out. And my overall trust in them is very high so long as they are thorough and give a shit
I have had some pretty awful experiences with doctors (not just doctors but dentists). But I have also had some great experiences with them.

I can’t remember what this thread was about, but “traditional medicine,” or “alternative medicine” is straight up bullshit. I don’t want anyone thinking I’m advocating for that.

I think the problems I have run into are mostly caused by the American medical industry, not so much the doctors themselves. But some of it has been that I just had bad luck and got some shitty doctors.

Why? Is there a particular ailment you are concerned about? What do you feel traditional western medicine is not providing you?
