Nate WAS extremely hard to finish. Hes now pushing 40. I think Khamzat is going to KO him standing within 2 rounds.

After Khamzats last fight, I actually picked Nate to be bad a match up for Khamzat (5 rounds).

Khamzat is not Khabib 2.0, doesn't have the gas tank to go 5 hard rounds, Nate is durable, and is more dangerous off his back than Gilbert was, who Khamzat was scared to go on the ground with.

I'm not sure where people think the road to the W lies with Khamzat, his inferior striking and inferior ground, will neutralize his superior wrestling.

Athletically he's much stronger and more explosive, but slows down considerably each round, he's never done 5 rounds either, and so pacing is going to be very difficult.

Diaz is the last fighter you want to slow down against, as soon as you start to slow down, that's when they turn it up.

Even though I still believed Burns should've got the W, or worse case a draw, Burns wasn't able to capitalize on a slowing Khamzat, because his cardio wasn't much better, less we forget Burns tired and folded against Usman.

I just don't see how Khamzat wins this bout, outside of a lucky punch.

Nate got absolutely owned by Masvidal. I don't see him faring better with Khamzat

Masvidal is a superior striker with 5 round cardio.

Khamzat is neither of those things.

Khamzat looked mentally broken despite winning a close decision over Burns, he realized that he's not an invincible Khabib 2.0 as many saw him before. He couldn't run through Burns despite making fun of his size and ability before the fight.

Nate Diaz is extremely hard to finish, cardio for days (Chimmy was huffing and Puffing by round 2), and good BJJ (Khamzat wasn't confident enough to entertain grappling with Burns, so we know it's a weakness)

It might sound crazy, but I would not be suprised. Gilbert would get sucked in brawl and he just doesn't have that 5 round cardio or extreme chin. If he fights smart yeah, it is easy to see Burns win that one. But I would not be surprised if Nate wins against Burns, based on their chins and cardio, anything can happen.

That being said, Chimaev and Burns would both be favorites for a good reason.

It's honestly a good bet to make if you're not going to be financially ruined from likely losing $100.

I'm always an advocate of these huge underdog bets. In this case, there's the slight chance that Nate hooks a sub in very early on when there's little sweat on either guy.

No offense to Leon but he busted Nate up pretty good. Imagine what Khamzat is going to do.

Leon doesn't gas inside 2 rounds.

Don't get me wrong Khamzat is the favourite, and rightly so, but him blowing his wad and getting pieced up in later rounds isn't COMPLETELY out of the equation.

Ya. It may actually be interesting in the championship rounds. Chimaev was gassed against Burns. That being said, Nate lethargic fighting style as of late, seems unlikely to be taxing on Chimaevs gas tank.
