You know what trump is asking for is not that unreasonable. Hes asking for 5 billion dollars to ramp up border security.

Have we all forgotten that 11 years ago the gov spent $700 BILLION to bail out banks during the financial crisis?

It's not for border security. It's for a wall. It's also nowhere near what would be needed for such an absurd boondoggle made with tariff steel, and undertaken by Trump sweetheart deals, no doubt.

He had the chance to negotiate last year. He behaved like a child, rejected a deal that was generous, given the stupidity of his want, and rejected it. So he got nothing.

He's like a kid in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, just begging for a second chance because he fucked up to begin with.

A wall would be a facet of border security. Both dem and gop bodies within the senate and house voted a bill into law that provided funds for border security, as any CR would do, but not for a wall. Trump vetoed it, citing the desperate need for 5 billion in wall construction money, despite the fact that he has spent but a tiny fraction of the money he was given last year, a much smaller sum itself.

The fact that anyone thinks this administration could ever competently create a tight and secure border wall spanning many states is laughable. They have proven themselves incapable of even providing a coherent picture among themselves of any policy they have trotted forth for 2 years now. And when they implement their policies, they have been wildly corrupt, inept, or both.

It is obvious, not merely sensible, that if Donald Trump was given 25 billion dollars for a wall, there would be an extreme amount of waste, fraud, sweetheart deals, and it would get done extremely late, poorly done.

Being a trust fund child and a businessman who’s very familiar with bankruptcy, Trump’s only concept lasting achievement is literally having large structures with his name attached.

That’s all this is. Is not about believing this is the right policy for immigration or an attempt at legit governing or anything remotely close to that intellectual. It’s Trump realizing he can’t accomplish shit like replacing Obama care and falling back to the one thing he knows. Making big steel things, whether it’s a good idea or not.

They probably already covered the cost of the wall based on renegotiated deals. Unless you mean if they have physically written a check addressed to US treasury and saying "Border Wall" in the memo, then no. They have not. Would be the end of Mexican politician who does that, but money from Mexico can certainly be extracted through better deals.
