Movies Name Things You Hate When Watching A Movie

1. I hate seeing a obvious dummy as a dying person. A fake baby doll for a baby. A stuffed animal for a dead animal.

Clint Eastwood is unfortunately guilty of doing this twice in his films (Pale Rider & American Sniper)

2. I hate watching sequels that constantly have to rely on the original film for any substance or significance. For me, sequels should continue the story without the same repetitive sequences of the original film.

2 great comedy sequels have done this perfectly imo (Ace Ventura When Nature Calls & 22 Jump Street) and that's rare for comedy sequels. In general sequels like The Godfather II, Empire, Aliens, T2, Towers are great examples of what sequels should aim to be like.

3. Strong language, cursing just to curse. It ruins the dialogue. Using God's name in vain.
God's last name isn't damn. I don't like to hear it especially repeated constantly. Same for saying Jesus Christ or Christ as a swear word. I find it offensive and disrespectful.

4. No blood when you get shot. Or windows not breaking from Bullets.

Christopher Nolan is infamous for this in the dark knight trilogy and Inception.

5. Anything woke or forced diversity just to include everybody. To me just tell the story and make the characters who you want them to be.

6. Terrible fighting scenes. Bad punches/missed punches or characters just standing there waiting to be punched like a wwe wrestler.

Unfortunately Francis Ford Coppola is guilty for this in The Godfather, The Outsiders and Rumblefish.
Your thoughts on how the latter two translated from the books?

My gripes last time I went to the cinema for Deadpool & Wolverine was the air con. I was roasting. And for a reasonably tall person I wish I'd brought a cushion, unless I was making myself uncomfortable I could barely see over the seat in front.

Are you talking about outsiders and rumblefish?

Slow moving and dead air scene setting a'la Nicolas Windin Refn up itself bollocks.

To add...

Actors doing poor accents or an accent that comes and goes or changes during a scene . Currently watching a series where both actors are doing this .

Really, really bad obvious mistakes in editing ....I loved A Few Good Men but all I can see whenever anyone says anything about the film is Jack Nicholson s tie being done up then pulled down when he turns around. How the hell did this never get picked up?

I only read the outsiders as a book back in 7th grade. We watched the movie right after that. It's the main reason why I like the film in general but the theatrical version, not the new complete novel version. I thought the director (Coppola) added way too much music into the scenes which for me ruined the viewing. I love the first half of the outsiders but it turns a little dull once Ponyboy stabs the soc and then it doesn't pick up steam again until they're rushed to the hospital and they're all back together to win the rumble for Johnny. Then the Rumble is full of missed punches and kicks. The only ones that really shined in the rumble were Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez, and Matt Dillon. And the first 2 had very little screen time in the film.

As for rumblefish I honestly never cared too much for the film in general. I have never read the book but I know the ending is different from the movie. I think its a good movie overall but its too inconsistent for me and I absolutely hate the diner scene with Tom Waits chomping away on his gum for 4 minutes. Makes me want to pull out my hair every single time.

Of the 2 I prefer outsiders.

Being Outsiders was my favourite book as a kid (I'm going back to 1988ish) I felt I was going to be a harsh critic but I adored it. I'll need to watch both again now you've mentioned them to see if I view them differently.

Folks that bring babies to movies. Folks that talk during movie .

Really hate when I gotta take a shit in middle of movie . Just ruins everything.
Yup. And people fucking around on their phones, till my friend had a seizure type scenario during Hannibal and I had to scream at the person whose phone was on to dial 999.

Most have already been listed. We are all sick of the forced diversity and gay stuff over quality. We are all sick of women built like waif models beating on trained goons. But I am also sick of the way Space is portrayed. There is no sound in space. No air, it is a vacuum. No wind. Space Ship would make no sound. A jet pack would make no sound. There would be no air resistance on a ship besides entering an atmosphere. There would be no explosions with smoke or fireballs. Nothing could ignite. G Forces, FTL speeds, all wrong. Even the way Stars are shown.

Found this while surfing on X. Just thought y'all should know. : r/southpark'all should know. : r/southpark

Alien Romulus reminded me of star wars awakens in that it basically copies off the first 2 films in the franchise. I was more impressed with star wars awakens but only seen it once in theater. The only way I belive there could be another great alien movie is if Tarantino took a swing at horror. I think the only other way I would be interested is if Ridley took another swing.
Yeah it was pretty much a greatest hits compilation. I don't mind member berries if done creatively but it was lazy as hell. Plus the way the "bitch" line was delivered during the climax was just too much. It's crazy that there hasn't been another good Alien film. It's such a great concept. Would certainly watch Tarantino give it a go. Definitely gonna get some alien feet in that one.
