Come and see. It's the only movie I can remember where I spent 30 minutes afterwards just staring at a blank TV screen


It's free on YouTube but be pre-warned that although it's an amazing movie and probably the best war film ever made it's also an absolute onslaught of relentless misery and makes Schindler's list seem like a Disney film.

Yeah it's zero redeeming scenes, even the end felt off because of everything that preclude it.

The fact that they used real bullets to ensure real fear out of the kid is sick

As far as strictly human movies - Incendies made me throw up after watching it.

Manchester By the Sea, The Road, Come and See, Grave of Fireflies, Dancer in the Dark, Irreversible ...and to a less extent House That Jack Built and Requiem....all Made me go for a walk and binge King Of The Hill afterwards

Hostel was all kinds of fucked up, especially the fun way it starts, geez it gets grim after that.

I will never forget when the Asian chick shows up and her eye is hanging out just all kinds of messed up and she jumps in front of a moving train. That was crazy to younger me.
