Also A River Runs Through It, Grave of the Fireflies, and the grave scene from Forest Gump got me as a kid but rewatching as an adult that shit is retarded.

Martyrs and Hachiko.

Martyrs made me feel empty and hopeless and then compounded it over and over again.
Hachiko showed me how fiercely loyal another species can be, to the day they die, while we just move on.

Yep first the book then like the dumbass kid I went to the movie.

Even to this day if the movie has a dog I want to know if the dog is ok. If not I don't want to see it.

Still haven't seen "I am legend" because the dog dies.
