The nuke search makes sense because the only reason for the US govt to not explain these drones would be if the explanation would cause more panic than not explaining.

And if word got out that all these drones are searching for the nuke then the people who have it might set it off earlier than intended.

I wouldn't be surprised if this were something boring like the deep state – CIA, DoD, DHS or whichever agency is involved – wants the authority to fly drones all over the place with impunity to surveil the domestic population, so they're staging this little song and dance to claim new drone legislation is needed to allow them to police the sky against foreign threats like Chy-na or iRAN. After having seen a demonstration of what that could look like, the public acquiesces and they get what they want. Classic example of problem, reaction, solution.

They love making people feel clever because people rarely question things when they feel they've gotten one over. They always plant the "truth" they want you to find so you feel smart when you find it, for example the "Covid lab leak," which is also not what happened, but something put there for the contrarians to find. Same deal here. If they admit to something, anything, people will exclaim "HA, I knew something was happening!" and the thinking ends there.

They'd probably play off the activity by telling the public they're doing a manhunt for an escaped convict or something. IF they even cared about alarming the public, which in that scenario i highly doubt they'd even care what the public thinks, since the actual bigwig politicians could be killed themselves in a missing nuke scenario. And you know they'd protect their own asses at all costs no matter what the public thinks or knows.

The ones I saw last night in nj also sounded like a low volume helicopter....I'd imagine if you only saw the ones at higher altitude you might think they were silent

We get the occasional military plane, or a rescue helicopter here, however never at 1 am , the thing moved really fast..seemed to hover, change direction, zoom really fast then hoovered again it freaked me out
